R.I.P PUTT!

I WILL BE OFF ON TOUR AGAIN.

ATLANTA THIS TIME.

CURTS CORNER WILL RETURN MAY 25, 2017 FOR THE “A” LEAGUE.

HAWKS    3    FLYERS   2

The Hawks relinquish a 2-0 final period lead, only to see Captain John “Shifty” Shelton bury a 40 footer for the game winner.  Eddie Sudzina and Scott Chodun also with Hawks markers.  Curt Lesnau and Mike Nalepa tally for the Flyers in this penalty free game.  Last weeks “Silver Alert” worked, as Flyers goaltender Dar made his first appearance of the season!

WINGS    5    BRUINS   4

Jack Prioux scores the game winning short handed goal for the Wings.  Steve Bayagich with the deuce.  Singles for Rob Rowling and sub Chas Kipp.  Mike “King of the Road” Miller, Craig Bastuba, Al Pyc and sub John Cornish dent the twine for the Bruins.

SHARKS   3     HABS   1

What will Brown do for you?  “Midtown” Mikey Brown(2) and “Downtown” Jimmy Brown do all the Sharks scoring as they defeat the Frenchmen.  “Smoking” Joe Polizzi with a solid effort in nets.  Habs sub Pat “The Beast” Wosek with their lone goal.  Fox Sports commentator Trevor Thompson subbed for the Habs today!  Not a bad player either!

HABS    3    FLYERS    2

Same scenario as in game one for the Flyers, as they allow a late final period goal to break a 2-2 tie.  Chris Isola with the game winner for the Habs.  Singles for Larry Rowe and once again sub Pat Wosek.  Mike Nalepa and capitalizing on a Habs cough of the puck deep in their zone – Billy “The Dark” Knight score for the Flyers.

HAWKS    4    BRUINS   2

The very efficient Hawks remain undefeated in their last seven games as they send the Bruins to their ninth straight defeat.  Ouch!  Scott Chodun with a two goal game for the Hawks.  Singles for Eddie Sudzina and defenseman Mary Papesh.  Goaltender Scott “The Wall” French with an assist and several outstanding saves.  John McNeilly and “Angry” Joey Ventimiglio tally for the Bruins.

SHARKS   6     WINGS   3

The top spot Sharks continue to roll, as they remain undefeated in their past nine contests!  Deuces wild for “Downtown” Jimmy Brown and Jeff Ivory.  Chad Wooten and Mike Riddle with singles.  Wings – Joey Reiss(2) and Rob Rowling.  Things got a little nasty at the end of the first period, as Mike Brown chops Sharks goalie Joe Polizzi and the Wings Rob Rowling takes major exception.  Both players pick up 10 minute major slashing penalties along with Brown’s initial minor slashing infraction.  Shades of Davey Crockett at the Alamo!

Besides scoring over 500 NHL career goals – what else do the five below players have in common?

Marcel Dionne

Mike Gartner

Dino Ciccarelli

Mats Sundin

Alex Ovechkin
