HABS    6    BRUINS   4

The Habs start the season with a W over Baker’s Bruins.   Center Bryan Prentice with a two goal game for the Habs.  Singles for Al Pyc, Rob “Rickie” Middleton, Pierre Dugas and sub Scott Chodun.  Playing an extremely solid and dangerously offensive game – Bruins right winger Craig Basuba with a two goal game and a laser off the far post!  Left winger Ray Tonelli with a tap in goal.  Defenseman Rex Baker with a top self rocket from the point, for the Bruins final marker.  Zero trips to the sin bin for either squad.

HAWKS   5     WINGS    5

This was a wild one!  Hawks up 5 zip entering the final period, only to see the Wings rattle off five final period goals for the tie!  Rob Rowling scores his third goal of the game with the goalie pulled, at the final buzzer!  The Mikes – “Midtown” Brown and Nalepa also with Wings goals.  Captain John “Shifty” Shelton with the natural hat trick for the Hawks.  Robbie Olmstead(Also 3 Helpers) and Timmy “Dutch” Schultz with singles.  Defenseman Marty Papesh with the hat trick assist.  Wings sub Paul Elsey picks up a solo roughing minor penalty.

SHARKS    5    FLYERS   2

Sharks center Mike Riddle leads the way with two shorthanded goals!  Singles for Jeff Curran, Billy Mac Jr. and sub Mike Ala.  Mike T. Brown and Steve Bittner tally for the Flyers.  The league welcomes back Mr. Bittner from his stint on the D.L.  Sharks defenseman Lou Suvak incurs a solo roughing minor penalty.

FLYERS   8     WINGS   7

Lots of scoring in todays games!  Another wild one for the Wings, as the score is tied 6-6 after one period!  Wow!  The line for the Flyers of Brian Moore(1 & 3) , Mike “King off the Road” Miller(2 & 3) and Mike T. Brown(2 Goals) total 11 points in the game!  Singles for Danny Rea, Lloyd Rogers and the game winning goal for Mike Wilson.  Goaltender Kirk Larson with an assist.  Wings – Mike Nalepa with the trick.  Rob Rowling with the deuce.  Singles for Steve “Mario” Lemieux and Joey Reiss.

HABS   5    HAWKS   1

The Habs jump out to a 5-0 lead on the Hawks – who have now surrendered 10 consecutive goals in both games today!  Hawks net minder Joe Polizzi was heard muttering: “This is not the same defense I had winning the Sam Cupp last season with the Sharks!”  The Frenchmen sweep for the day!  Singles for Al Pyc, Larry Rowe, Pierre Dugas, Curt Lesnau and a beautiful top self laser from stay at home defenseman Kenny Schaeffler.  Ward Peterson with a late Hawks goal to ruin Dar’s shutout, who played an excellent game in nets.

BRUINS   4      SHARKS   4

Billy Mac Jr. with the deuce for the Sharks.  The Jimmy’s- Brown and Galloway(Also 3 Helpers) with singles.  Bruins – “Angry” Joey Ventimiglio, Rex Baker, and the Johns – Cornish and McNeilly.  Puck stopper Rodney Heid with a helper.  “Angry” Joe and Jeff Ivory both receive roughing minor penalties.  Jimmy “Jets” Galloway(High Sticking) and John McNeilly(Unsportsmanlike Conduct) trade expletives as they march off to the box.
