LEAGUE PLAY-OFF CHAMPIONSHIP CUP
Since 2004 many Michigan Sting teams have won play-off championships in our leagues. Unfortunately, there was no award to recognize each season's play-off champions. In 2007, the "Sam Cupp" was created and named in his honor for his relentless dedication in promoting Michigan Sting Senior Hockey. At the end of each season this award is presented to league play-off champions in both divisions. The team, sponsor and each member's name is enscribed upon the base. Team pictures of current reigning champions are on display in the Michigan Sting trophy cabinet at the Troy Sports Center.
All League games are played at Troy Sports Center - Troy Mi.
Back-To-Back Game times are 4:45 PM & 5:45 PM.
Our Recreational "R" League games are played on Tuesdays
Our Advanced "A" League games are played on Thursdays
Our six teams in each division league operates year around.
Club members can sign up to participate as full time, "super subs" or regular subs for Fall-Winter and/orSpring-Summer seasons. Various drop-in opportunities are also available.

In 2007, Sam Cupp, our league founder, and his "Rangers" became the first team to be presented with the award. The names of the teams as well as the individual players are enscribed on the base of the cup and displayed in our trophy cabinet at the Troy Sports Center.
