POLICY

The Michigan Sting Hockey Club provides a positive venue for competitive ice hockey while focusing on healthy lifestyle, respect, safety, and friendship. Our league philosophy is based on the concept of "stepping back" where aggressive behavior is not tolerated and on-ice situations are not escalated. Fighting will result in suspension or termination of league play. USA Hockey rules will govern all league play.

GUIDELINES

All players upon registration, have agreed, in writing, to abide by the player conduct and safety rules set forth by the Michigan Sting Hockey Club.

These include;

I will abide by the rules of hockey and play within the spirit of the rules.

I will not check any other player and will avoid aggressive acts.

I will keep my emotions under control at all times.

I understand that I am legally liable for injuries to others due to "reckless disregard" for the safety of others.

I understand that the referee’s decisions are final and cannot be disputed.

I understand that all game misconduct penalties will be reviewed by the Conduct-Safety players represented on the ice and potentially referred to the Conduct Board with the potential of game/league suspensions.
