WINGS   4    HAWKS    3

Marty Sell breaks the tie with just under two minutes left in the game, to send the Wings to the W.  Pat Collins(2) and returning from parts unknown – Bob “Bugsy” Watson also score for the Wings.  The Hawks succeed twice on the power play, as James George and Mark Munsterman convert.  Al Platt with the Hawks middle marker.

BRUINS   5    HABS   2

2-2 entering the final stanza – then the Bruins rattle off three final period goals.  Eddie “The Eagle” Higgins with the deuce.  Singles for Gary Enmark, John “Hal” McRae and sub “Hans” Brinker.  Adam Godard with three helpers.  Cam “Steamboat” Lawrence and Mike Ala do the honors for the Frenchmen.  Late in the game John McRae and the Habs Pete Gibb hit the box in tandem with roughing minors.

FLYERS   4     SHARKS   3

1-0 Flyers  entering the final period – then both teams score three goals each in the wild and wholly final stanza.  Sub Lawson with the deuce for the Flyers.  Tommy Trice and Joe Plati with singles.  Jimmy “Boog” Powell, Chris Zanke and sub Steve “Mario” Lemieux tally for the Fish.

FLYERS   4    WINGS   0

The top spot Flyers remain undefeated in their past nine contests as they sweep for the day!  Mike Mostyn with the well earned whitewash.  Jeff “Dick” Tracy Tommy guns in two goals, as he tries out this new nonalcohalic Prohibition Budweiser beer in the locker room following the game.  Joe Plati and John Zuccarini with singles.  No Wings highlights as they split for the day.

HAWKS   5    HABS  5

“Gentleman” Don Courtley scores his first of two goals just 17 ticks into the game – only to see James George score his first of two goals 16 seconds later!  Defense – what defense in this game!  Kenny “Prime Time” Wilkins also with the deuce for the Habs.  Mike Ala with a French single.  The Hawks receive singles from Bruce “Cooler Man” Gooel, Jim Chapie and Rockford call up Paulie “Knuckles” Polizzi.  After a lengthy Michigan Sting absence, it appears the Habs rambunctious Pete Gibb is rounding into form, as he picks up two more penalties in this game, following his roughing minor in game one.

BRUINS   5    SHARKS   2

The Bruins do all their scoring in the final period, as they sweep for the day!  Providence call up “Hans” Brinker pays big dividends as he record the trick and four goals on the night!  John McRae with the deuce.  Bobby Rutkoske stood tall in the nets for the Bruins.  The Steve’s – Orr and Lemieux tally for the Sharks, as they drop a double dip today.
