Goaler Billy Schaugg reverts back to his Notre Dame HS days and blanks the Bruins.  Nate McNaughtry, Brian Barr, Greg Stacey and Ward Peterson tally for the Fish.  No Bruins highlights.

WINGS    3     FLYERS   2

Wings jump out to a 3 zip first period lead and hang on for the W!  Paul “Stork” Erikson, sub Haworth and scoring in this third consecutive game – Jeff Ivory do the honors for the Wings.  Goalie Kris “King” Arthur was outstanding in nets.  Army veteran Eddie Sudzina and Mike Nalepa score for the Flyers.  Danny Rea of the Flyers picks up a solo roughing minor penalty.

HAWKS   1     HABS   1

Hawks puck stopper Dar stands on his proverbial head and the Hawks earn their first point of the season!  Sub Tringali scores for the Hawks.  Bob Hergott reciprocates for the Habs.

WINGS   2     HABS   2

A great goaltending battle between Kris Arthur of the Wings and Gordy Nadolsky of the Habs.  Rob Rowling and Joey Reiss tally for Frenchmen.  Young Chad Wooten and Harrison Twp. resident John McNeilly with the Wings markers.  Pat “The Beast” Wosek of the Wings puts a hold on Pierre Dugas and things escalated from there!  Wosek – Holding and a 2 and 10 minute unsportsmanlike penalties.  Dugas – a 2 and a 10 minutes unsportsmanlike penalties.  A couple of big D exchanging unpleasantries.

The top spot Hawks dominate this contest.  Dr. Nate, “Scowling” Scott Leslie, Ward Peterson and Greg Stacey dent the twin for the Sharks.  No Hawks highlights.

FLYERS   6    BRUINS   3

Mike Nalepa(3 & 2 – Natural Hat Trick) leads the Flyers to a split today.  Mike “King of the Road” Miller, John Cornish and Eddie Sudzina also score for the Flyers.  Zach Wagner, Brendan Brosnan and power play specialist “Midtown” Mikey Brown with the Bruins goals.
