WINGS   5    FLYERS   2

Deuces wild for Zach Wagner and Craig Bastuba as they lead the Wings to the W.  Another Wagner?  Subbing for Nate Wagner, E. Wagner with the Wings initial marker.  Goaler Joe Polizzi with a very good game between the pipes.  Billy Reiss and Trevor Wrobel dent the twine for the Flyers.

SHARKS   6   BRUINS   5

The Sharks receive goals from six different players and all the forwards, as they defeat the Bruins in this up and down game.  Nate McNaughtry, John Cornish, Greg Stacey, Mike Garlick, Nick Piccolo and sub “Angry” Joe score for the Sharks.  Five different Bruins score:  Rex Baker, Jeff Steiber, Jamie Smith and the Mikes – Nalepa and Brown.  Sharks defenseman Mike Akins received a two minute chopping penalty and then continued to voice his displeasure on the call and incurred a two minute unsportsmanlike and then a game misconduct penalties.

HAWKS   3     HABS   3

Habs goalie Billy Schaugg and counterpart Kris “King” Arthur put on a goaltending clinic for the empty arena!  Wearing his iconic Goose Loonies t-shirt, Hawks sub Chris Ballard scores twice.  Brian Moore with the Hawks first goal.  Captain Joey Reiss with the deuce for the Habs.  Big Rob Rowling with their initial goal.

WINGS    5    HABS   2

How do you stop this elite Wings team?  Habs try to goon it up – didn’t work.  More on that later.  John Siedlik scores his first of two goals 34 ticks into the game.  Singles for Craig Bastuba, Ryan Boyette and Rob Giroux.  Scott Chodun of the Wings and Joey Reiss both with simultaneous roughing minor penalties.  Now to the first period fireworks.  Habs power forward Rob Rowling picks up two unsportsmanlike minor penalties then a ten minute, then a game misconduct due to that being his third penalty of the game and an early exit and head-start on the cooler.

FLYERS   7     BRUINS   3

Line-mates Trevor Wrobel and Ukrainian sub Kostesich both with the hat trick as they lead the Flyers to the lopsided victory!  Oh- Mark Rogers also scored.  Goalie Dar with a light workload.  Jeff  “Marine” Steiber scores twice for the Bruins.  Captain Rex Baker with their final goal.

HAWKS   4    SHARKS   3

Steve Lemieux and sub Chris Ballard each score goals in each period, as the Hawks squeak out the W in this well played game.  Goalie Kris Arthur shined in nets and also picked up an assist on Ballard’s game winning goal!  The pride of St. Norbert’s College, located in De Pere Wisconsin just outside of Green Bay and it’s storied D3 Green Knight’s hockey program – “Angry” Joey Ventimiglio with all three Sharks goals!  “I love being a Shark” “Angry” said postgame locker room!  Line-mate John Cornish with the hat trick assist.
