NO CURT’S CORNER NEXT WEEK.

CURT’S CORNER WILL RETURN FOR THE JANUARY 30 GAMES.

WINGS    6     BRUINS   0

The Wings tally three times in each period and goaler Kris “King” Arthur spins the shutout for the Wings.  Paul “Stork” Erickson with the deuce.  Singles for Terry Boyette, Steve Bittner, Jeff Ivory(Also 3 Helpers) and Scott Chodun.  The league’s leading penally minute leader Scott Chodun with a goalie interference and unsportsmanlike minor penalties.  Wings sub Scott Bozyk with a solo roughing minor infraction.

FLYERS   4    HAWKS   3

What happened here?  The Flyers pick up their second win of the season and send the top spot Hawks to their very first loss of the season!  Guess the Flyers finally listened to the expert locker room hockey advice of “Midtown” Mikey Brown, who blasted a slap-shot top shelf!  Billy Knight, Danny Rea and sub Craddock also with Flyers markers.  Goalie Billy Schaugg was outstanding in nets.  The only player to solve Mr. Schaugg was the league’s leading scorer(55 Points in 16 Games!) – Zach Wagner, who accomplished the feat three times!

SHARKS   5     HABS   0

Captain Dr. Nate McNaughtry leads his Sharks squad with a two goal game.  Singles for Steve Wink, James Puffer and “Angry” Joey Ventimiglio.  Goaltender Dar with the relatively easy whitewash.  No French highlights.

HAWKS   3    BRUINS   3

The Bruins go up 3-0, only to see the Hawks Zach Wagner tie it up with just under four minutes left in the contest.  John McNeilly and Robbie Olmstead also tally for the Hawks.  Donnie Rivera, Mike Nalepa(SH) and sub Fouladbash dent the twine for the Bruins.

SHARKS   7     WINGS    3

Da Sharks run roughshod over the Wings.  Deuces wild For James Puffer, Mike Garlick and Greg Stacey.  Dr. Nate also with a marker.  Defenseman Kurt Salvatore, Terry Boyette and sub Scott Bozyk score for the Wings.

HABS   4    FLYERS   2

A spirited game as the host Habs defeat the Flyers.  Pierre Dugas, Jeff Curran, Steve Bayagich and sub “Smiling” Scott Davenport score for the Habs.  Goalie Gordy Nadolsky stood tall in nets.  Trevor Wrobel and sub Abella with the Flyers tallies.
