BRUINS   3    HAWKS   2

Bruins play a tight to the vest game and pick up the hard earned W.  Todd Brown, Donnie Rivera and Steve “Mario” Lemieux do the honors for the Bruins.  John “Shifty” Shelton and Marty Papesh tally for the Hawks.  Both goalers Kirk Larson and “Smoking” Joe Polizzi were excellent between the pipes in this penalty free game.

HABS    4   STARS   4

King of the Road – Mike “Roger” Miller scores with the goalie pulled, just inside a minute left in the game to give the Stars a point.  Danny Rea and subs Chris Isola and Chas Kipp also score for the heavily subbed Stars.  Power winger Eddie Sudzina with 3 helpers.  Paul Violassi, Robbie Olmstead, Brian Moore and “Party” Pete Kaczarmek tally for the Frenchmen.

WINGS   1   LEAFS   1

With chants of Billy, Billy come wafting down from the stands – Leafs goaler Billy Mac Jr. was simply outstanding in the game!  Pure and simple Billy Mac stole a point for the Leafs as the Wings were continually in the Leafs end.  Halfway through the game, the refs were thinking of stopping the game and resurfacing the Leafs side of the ice- LOL!  Speedy Steve Bayagich pounds in a rebound goal for the Wings.  Left defenseman Mike Riddle goes end to end for the unassisted Leafs marker.

BRUINS   3   HABS   2

Wow!  The deep cellar dweller Bruins sweep for the first time this year!  Could it be the inspirational return of sponsor Edgar Atnip who subbed today?  Playing like he’s back in his 20’s – Donnie Rivera, Mike T. Brown and Craig Bastuba dent the twine for the fired up Bruins.  With one week left in the regular season – Captain Rex Baker says: “Look out for these Bruins in the playoffs!”  Kyle Lybecker and sub James Pufer score for the Habs in this penalty free game.  A funny thing occurred in this contest.  The Habs pull their goalie down 3-1 late.  They actually score to make it 3-2, with just 5 skaters on the ice!  No one jumped out on the ice for the goalie!  Again – you gotta love hockey players!

WINGS    4   HAWKS   2

The top spot Wings clinch the regular season and a two point head start in the Sam Cupp playoffs.  These Wings have had a wonderful season and will definitely be a team to be reckoned with in the playoffs, as they have not lost in their last six games.  Steve Bayagich with the deuce for the Wings.  Singles for left winger “Downtown” Jimmy Brown and sub Guise.  Al Pyc and sub Mike Folster tally for the disheveled Hawks, as they extend their winless streak to seven games.

LEAFS   5   STARS   2

Deuces wild for left winger Danny Shannon and Jeff Ivory as the Leafs extend their unbeaten streak to 8 games.  Mike Ala pitched in with a single.  Danny Rea and sub Chas Kipp score for the Stars.  Stars defenseman Pierre Dugas picks up a solo roughing minor penalty.

Who is the only NHL player to captain two different Stanley Cup winning teams?
