HAWKS   5    SHARKS   4

I knew it was going to happen sooner or later!  The Sharks goalie gets confused with the now variable times schedule and shows up a period late for his 4:45 game.  The game did not start until he hits the ice with the curfew clock continually running and both teams play an abbreviated game just over one period long.  Mike T. Brown was the Hawks catalyst with a two goal game.  Singles for Chad Wooten, Brendan Brosnan and on a beautiful inside out solo effort – defenseman Donnie Rivera.  Goaler Kirk Larson picked up an assist on the goal.  Nate McNaughtry, Steve Bittner, Pierre Dugas and sub Steve Wink do the honors for the Fish in this penalty free game.

FLYERS   7    WINGS   4

Whoa!  The big guy, Mr. Rob Rowling scores his teams first four goals in the first period  to send the Flyers to the W!  Winger Frank “Crash” Casali with a two goal game.  Marty Papesh with a power play marker.  Mike Nalepa, Rich Artymovich, Terry Boyette and Paul “Stork” Erikson tally for the Wings.

HAWKS   6    BRUINS   2

Deuces wild for Chad Wooten and the red hot Mike T. Brown.  Singles for Jack Priauix and Greg Kalvin.  John McNeilly and Timmy “Dutch” Schultz score for the Bruins.  Bruins goaler Keith Konnie went berserk on his own teammates spewing colorful expletives to anyone wearing a yellow jersey!  At one juncture of the game, Keith lost his goalie stick and an opposing player helped him out and handed it to him!

FLYERS   5    HABS   2

The battle for first place goes to Billy Knight’s Flyers, as they are now tied with the Habs for the top spot in the standings!  Scoring machine Rob Rowling only with the deuce.  Singles for Frank Casali, Mike Miller and sub “Midtown” Mikey Brown.   Zach Wagner and sub Jeff Ivory score for the Habs.  Unbelievably, the Flyers only allow one power play goal as they amount an astounding ten penalties in the game!  Talk about a good PK!  Or come too think about it – a bad power play?

HABS   3    SHARKS   3

The Habs surrender a 3-1 lead as Sharks sub Steve Wink goes top shelf with just under two minutes left in the game for tie.  Fellow sub Scott Bozyk and Dr. Nate also score for the Sharks.  Habs – Robbie Olmstead, Paulie Polizzi, on a 30 foot slap shot breakaway and sub “Smiling” Scott Davenport on a beautiful top shelf short side laser.  A special shoutout to Habs sub net-minder Brian Miller who stood on his proverbial head as his team was heavily outshot in the game!

WINGS   6    BRUINS   5

The Wings split for the day behind the two goal effort of Mike Nalepa.  Singles for Craig Bastuba, Paul Erikson, Jeff Funk and Rich Artymovich.  Bruins sub Kotary with the hat trick.  Winger Steve Bayagich with the deuce.  Bruins winger Chris Isola takes exception to a Jeff Funk hold and reciprocates with a chop, as they both retire to the sin bin to solve their differences.
