BRUINS    4     HABS    2

Providence call up Scott Davenport scores twice for the men in yellow.  Singles for defenseman Rex Baker and Brendon Brosnan.  Goalie Ben Alciandro with an excellent game between the pipes!  Warren native Paul Elsey and sub Rob Aughe tally for the Habs.  Rough and tumble Bruins defenseman Brendan Brosnan picks up a solo roughing minor penalty.

SHARKS    3    FLYERS    1

The Sharks defeat the Flyers with four subs in their lineup.  Brian Reath and subs Al Pyc and Brian Barker score for the Fish.  Puck stopper Dar was outstanding  in his goal-keep duties!  Marty Papesh was the only Flyer to solve Dar.

WINGS    4    HAWKS   2

Rob Rowling scores the game winning power play and empty net goal to lead the Wings to the W.  Scott Chodun and sub “General” Montgomery with singles.  Goaltender Kris “King” Arthur was stellar in nets.  The Wings had sort of regal presence about them today – with a General and a King and a Captain on their roster!  Paul Violassi and Grosse Pointe resident sub Tim Vaneckoute score for the Hawks.  Violassi and Wings Captain Ryan Boyette get into a disagreement and both hit the box in tandem with roughing minor penalties.  Hawks player Craig Masionneuve voices his verbal displeasure and receives a ten minute misconduct penalty and an early game exit.

HAWKS   11    HABS   3

Whoa!  I guess the Hawks were a little upset about losing game one, as they completely dismantle this Habs team!  The wheels are falling off this last place Habs franchise, as they desperately need their injured Captain Bryan Prentice to return from his extended DL stint!  They are now winless in their past three doubleheaders.  Hawks – Zach Wagner(3), John McNeilly(2), Paul Violassi(2), and singles for Scott Leslie, Rob “Larry” Giroux and sub Tim Vaneckoute.  Craig Masionneuve with a four helper game.  Habs – Mark Rogers and subs Rob Aughe and Trevor Thompson.

BRUINS   2     SHARKS   2

Sub Scott Davenport ties the game up with just over a minute left in the contest to salvage a point for the Bruins.  Mike “Padre” Nalepa with the Bruins early final period goal.  Mike “King of the Road” Miller(SH) and sub Brian Barker were the first place Sharks marksman, who are now undefeated in their past seven contests.  Both goalies – Dar of the Sharks and Ben Alicnadro of the Bruins with excellent games in nets!

WINGS    8    FLYERS   3

Mr. Rob Rowling lifts these second place Wings to the convincing victory with a huge five goal game and seven goals on the day!  Way too go big guy!  Paul “Stork” Erikson and sub “General” Montgomery with singles.  Brian Moore, “Midtown” Mikey Brown and Billy “The Dark” Knight score for the Flyers who drop a deuce today.  Following the game and their doubleheader sweep, the entire Wings team hoisted their shot glasses in the air and toasted Curt’s Corner derogatory preseason review of their team!  Glad I could help!
