Ouch! The Sharks take full advantage of this depleted Habs team, as they only had seven skaters this game! Mr. Nate McNaughtry with a four goal game and three helpers to boot! Line-mate Mike Garlick with the hat trick and three assists. In the Halloween spirit today and dressed as a hockey player, fellow line-mate sub Curt Lesnau with the deuce as the line totals 16 points in the game! Kyle Lybecker and “Angry” Joe with singles. Jeff Curran tallies twice for the Habs. Mark Rogers and sub Fouladbash with singles. No trips to the box for either team.
HAWKS 8 FLYERS 3
Zach Wagner puts up a four spot for the Hawks! Deuces wild for John McNeilly and Robbie Olmstead. Defenseman Dana Boyette with the hat trick assist. Yugoslavian Flyers sub Chovich with all three of the Flyers goals.
BRUINS 5 WINGS 4
Wings up 3-1 entering the final period, only to see the Bruins roar back with four final period goals. Donnie Rivera and Bruins sub Guracech with the deuce. Reappearing from parts unknown, long time Sting Captain John “Shifty” Shelton with a highlight reel goal. Pat Wosek with three helpers. Line-mates Jeff Ivory, Paul Erikson and Terry Boyette score for the Wings. Wings sub Chad Wooten with their final marker. Both teams kept it clean – no penalties.
SHARKS 6 WINGS 2
2-2 entering the final stanza, then the Sharks score four unanswered goals to secure the W. “Angry” Joey Ventimiglio with two top shelf goals. Singles for Dr. Nate, birthday boy Ward Peterson and subs Curt Lesnau and Chuck Desotelle. Following the game Curt was asked by two of his teammates, regarding his three goal output in today’s doubleheader, if he will petition to get back in the league? Hmm? Continuing his season long scoring binge – Paul “Stork” Erikson and on a short side slap shot blast – Kurt Salvatore tally for the Wings.
FLYERS 3 HABS 2
The Flyers split on the day, as the Habs put up a valiant fight only to remain winless in their past 14 games. Marty Papesh, Jack Priauix and sub Chovich score for the Flyers. Goaltender Billy Schaugg with a strong game in nets. Mark Rogers and Habs sub “Rex” Kern score for the Frenchmen. Sub goalie Darren Clark was outstanding between the pipes for the Habs. No trips to the sin bin for either squad.
BRUINS 9 HAWKS 6
Run and gun in this contest! Mike “Padre” Nalepa leads the Bruins with the hat trick as Halloween masks litter the ice! Singles for John Cornish(Also 3 Helpers), Chuck Bowers, Pat “The Beast” Wosek and subs J. Olmstead, John Shelton and Gurachech. How do you stop this guy? Zach Wagner with another four goal game for the Hawks! John McNeilly and Robbie Olmstead also with Hawk goals.
