CONGRATS TO THE HABS AND THE HEAVILY FAVORED SHARKS, WHO WILL FACE OFF IN NEXT WEEK’S SAM CUPP CHAMPIONSHIP GAME!

FINAL WEEK – PLAYOFFS

SHARKS   4     HAWKS   3

An entertaining tight contest as the Sharks prevail.  Sub Scott Davenport scores twice for the Fish.  Singles for Mike Riddle and Billy Mac Jr.  Dr. Nate McCoughtry tallies twice for the Hawks.  Rushing defenseman Marty Papesh with a highlight reel goal.

WINGS   5    BRUINS   5

Both teams score power play and shorthanded goals in the final period!  “Angry” Joey Ventimiglio with the hat trick for the men in yellow.  John McNeilly and Todd Brown with singles.  Steve “Big Game” Bayagich with the deuce for the Wings.  Dougie Roehl, Ryan Boyette and Rob Rowling also with Wings markers.  Dana Boyette with a three helper game.  Goaltender Kirk “Captain America” with an assist.  Rob Rowling also picks up a solo roughing minor penalty.

HABS    6    FLYERS   3

Brian Moore with the tour du chapeau for the Frenchmen in this hotly contested game.  Singles for subs Trevor Thompson and Scott Bozyk and Mike T. Brown.  Mike Nalepa(2) and Lloyd Rogers score for the Flyers.  This was an extremely inept performance by the officials in this game.  Two Flyers goals were taken away by early whistles.  The game was always on the verge of a major incident due to the ineffectual officials.  One of the officials was swapped out in game two for a different  one.  The Flyers were elated!  Flyers defenseman Pierre Dugas(A 10 minute Fighting Major) and irritant Mike T. Brown(Roughing Minor) were both ejected from the game.

HABS   4    HAWKS   3

Watch out for the Frenchmen in next weeks game!  These guys are running on all cylinders!  Down 3-1 entering the final period, Kyle Lybecker scores the shorthanded game winning goal.  Mike T. Brown and subs Scott Bozyk and “Diamond” Dave Vorhes also with Habs markers.  Dr. Nate with another two goal game.  Buddy Scott Chodun with a single for the Hawks.  What happened to the Hawks in the playoffs, who squandered a two point lead as regular season champions?

SHARKS   6    WINGS   4

The Sharks continue their feeding frenzy as they end the playoffs undefeated!  Paulie “Knuckles” Polizzi with their final two goals – one on a breakaway.  Singles for Jeff Ivory, Mike Ala, Billy Mac. Jr and sub Scott Davenport.  Scoring machine power winger Mr. Rob Rowling with all four Wings goals!

FLYERS   3    BRUINS   3

Benny Hudson ties the game up on a neat deflection for the Bruins.  Craig Bastuba and John McNeilly also with Bruins markers.  Lloyd Rogers, Mike Nalepa and sub Bob “Larry” Girioux score for the woebegone Flyers as they end the playoffs winless.  Flyers defenseman Pierre Dugas(A 4 Minute Unsportsmanlike Penalty) and Bruins center John McNeilly(Instigator Penalty) both with early game exits.
