HOLA!

I HAVE RETURNED FROM COSTA RICA.

TIME FOR SOME HOCKEY!

HAWKS   3   BRUINS   2

John “Shifty” Shelton scores 24 ticks into the game, as the Hawks score all their goals in the initial period and hang on for the W.  Steve “Mario” Lemieux and sub Chodin also with Hawks tallies.  Big Rex Baker and his long time buddy Chuck Bowers find the back of the net for the Bruins.  Both goalers – Kirk “Captain America” Larson and “Smoking” Joe Polizzi with stellar games in nets.

HABS   5    FLYERS   3

Flyers sub John Cornish scores his first of three goals 42 seconds into the game, only to see the resilient Frenchmen grind out the victory.  Al Pyc(2), John Siterlet and subs Scott Davenport and Dana Boyette round out the Habs scoring.  Flyers winger Mike Nalepa assisted on all three of John Cornish’s goals.

SHARKS   5    WINGS   3

Dr. Nate McCaughtry records the natural hat trick in the first period, as the Sharks upend the Wings.  “Midtown” Mikey Brown and Brian Barr with singles.  Brian Moore, Terry Boyette and son Ryan Boyette score for the Wings in this penalty free game.

BRUINS   6    HABS   3

The Bruins score twice in the games first 40 seconds to split for the night!  Center John McNeilly with the trick.   Line-mate Mike “King of the Road” Miller with the deuce.  Marty Papesh with a single.  Al Pyc, Dougie Roehl and Jack Prioux were the Habs marksman.  Forwards Steve Bittner and Jimmy “Jets” Galloway both hit the box in tandem with roughing minors and a few adjectives to boot.

WINGS   9    HAWKS   0

Ouch!  It was only two zip entering the final period – then the tsunami hit and the Wings could not be denied!  “Downtown” Jimmy Brown with the hat trick.  Both Brian Moore and Grand Rapids call up Degan with deuces wild.  Singles for Terry Boyette and Steve Wink.  Adding to his burgeoning career shutout total – Muddy will have to put out a new hockey card!  Absolutely no Hawks highlights in this penalty free contest.

SHARKS   4    FLYERS   1

McCauley and Da Sharks sweep for the day.  Billy Mac Jr. with a brilliant effort in nets for the Sharks.  “Midtown” Mikey Brown, “Jumping” Jim Leonardi, Donnie Rivera and Nate McCoughtry round out the feeding frenzy for the Sharks.  Mike Riddle with the lone Flyers marker as they drop a deuce today.  No trips to the sin bin for either squad.

Who has scored the most goals for the defunct Minnesota North Stars?
