SHARKS   7    HAWKS   5

Mike Ala scores twice in the games first minute to spark the sub laden Sharks to the W!  Billy Mac Jr. also with a two goal game.  Singles for John Siterlet and sub Scott Bozyk.  Jimmy “Jets” Galloway with the hat trick assist.  Hawks – John “Shifty” Shelton(Also 3 Helpers), Scott Leslie, Steve “With a Nod and a” Wink, Marty Papesh and sub Paul Erickson.

FLYERS   1     BRUINS   1

Flyers winger Mike “King of the Road” Miller scores with the goalie pulled, and only 19 seconds left on the arena clock to extinguish the Bruins first place aspirations!  It was a heart breaker for Bakers Bruins!  “Angry” Joey Ventimiglio scores early in the game for the men in yellow.  Both puck stoppers – goals against and shutout leader Rodney Heid and Kirk “Captain America” Larson were outstanding in nets!

HABS   8    WINGS   3

In the locker room before the game, Habs Captain Bryan Prentice is lamenting how he is not feeling too good and aching all over.  All of us should feel that way!  Mr Prentice proceeds to score his teams first three goals of the game and cap it off with a fourth first period goal!  Not bad for not feeling good – eh?  Dr. Nate McCoughtry with the deuce.  Singles for Al Pyc and sub Mike Folster.  With the Bruins tie in game one – the Frenchmen clinch first place in the standings!  Mike Nalepa, Eddie Sudzina and on a solo effort – imagine that – “Midtown” Mikey Brown scores for the Wings.  No trips to the sin bin for either squad.

FLYERS   2     HAWKS   2

Hawks up 2-0 after period one.  Then the Flyers score twice in a 22 second span for their second tie of the day!  Paulie “Knuckles” Polizzi and sub Scott Davenport score for the Flyers.  “Scowling” Scott Leslie and Steve Wink do the honors for the Hawks.  Flyers defenseman Lloyd Rogers incurs a ten minute “Head Contact” penalty in the first period.

BRUINS    8    WINGS   0

Oh boy!  Everyone and I mean everyone scores at will against the last place Wings, who have now dropped three consecutive doubleheaders!  16 goals allowed today!  18 goals allowed last week!  140 goals allowed during the season!  35 goals over the team closest to them!  Averaging  6.5 goals allowed a game!  Ouch!  John Cornish scores his first of two goals 20 ticks into the contest – then the carnage begins!  John McNeilly with the trick.  Sub Greg Calvin with the deuce.  Joey Ventimiglio also with a goal.  John Cornish also picks up four helpers.  Jeff Funk with a three helper game.  An ugly incident occurred as Rex Baker and Ryan Boyette get into an altercation, as Baker round houses Boyette in the head, who has just recently recovered from a concussion.  Baker picks up interference and unsportsmanlike conduct minor penalties, to go along with his earlier penalty and a first period exit from the game.  Boyette registers unsportsmanlike conduct and roughing minor penalties.

HABS   5    SHARKS   3

The Habs continue their dominace over the Sharks, as points and goal leader Dr. Nate McCoughtry records the trick.  Singles for line-mates Bryan Prentice and sub Mike Folster as the line totals ten points in the game!  Jimmy “Jets” Galloway, Mike Ala and sub Steve Bayagich tally for the Fish in this penalty free game.
