The Wings and their very experienced goalie – Muddy – play a strong game and down Baker’s Bruins. Having an outstanding offensive and defensive game – defenseman Paul Elsey with a 1 & 2 game. Joey Ventimiglio, Ryan Boyette, Brian Moore and sub Gary “Tall Dude” Seelbinder round out the Wings scoring. Captain Rex Baker(2) and Jimmy “Jets” Galloway tally for the men in yellow.
HAWKS 6 FLYERS 1
The Hawks score three times in each period and dominate the Flyers. The newly formed KIS line of Chas Kipp(1 & 3), Chris Isola(1 & 3) and John Shelton(2 & 2) total 13 points in the game and run roughshod over the Flyers. Rob “Ricky” Middleton and Brian Reath also with Hawks markers. Goaler Kirk Larson with a very easy workload. Flyers sub Mike Ala with their lone goal in this penalty free game.
HABS 4 SHARKS 2
Subbing for shell shocked Habs goalie – Dar(11 G.A.) last game – sub Mark Luscki with a stellar game in nets. It is rumored Dar needed a mental health break this week! The Habs prevail despite killing off four penalties and scoring a shorthanded goal to boot! Steve Bittner, Larry Rowe, Dougie Roehl and sub Bob Rowling round out the French scoring. Center Nate McCoughtry with both Sharks tallies.
HABS 7 FLYERS 4
Super sub Bob Rowling had a four goal game last week. This game he had to settle for the tour du chapeau against the Flyers. Mike T. Brown with the deuce. Singles for Al Pyc and hometown French Canadian hero Pierre Dugas. Larry Rowe with three helpers. Line-mates Mike Nalepa and Mike Riddle each score twice for the Flyers as they drop a deuce today.

The Hawks vault into first place with today’s double dip victory. Defenseman Lloyd Rogers with his first two goal game since the Nixon administration. Singles for John “Shifty” Shelton, Steve “Mario” Lemieux, and subs Chas Kipp and Chris Isola, as the Hawks convert twice on the power play. The undisciplined Bruins pick up the only four penalties of the game. But they do manage a shorthanded marker by Craig Batuba. Benny Hudson, Eddie Sudzina and Chuck Bowers also score for the Bruins.

Once again Dr. Nate McCoughty wrecks havoc on Muddy and the Wings. Two weeks ago Dr. Nate had a four goal game against the Wings. Well – he just managed a trick in this game! “I love shooting against any goalie over 60” Dr. Nate says! Donnie Rivera and sub Dave “Beach Boy” Wilson with singles. Wings – “Angry” Joey Ventimiglio(2) and Steve Wink.
