HAWKS   4     FLYERS   1

Following the game, Flyers sub Dana Boyette says:  This was the closest 4-1 game I’ve ever been in!  The Bruins completely dominate at times and were stymied time after time by Hawks goaler Keith Konnie!  The Hawks score twice in the games last two minutes to seal the W.  Steve “Mario” Lemieux with the deuce for the Hawks.  Singles for Nate McNaughtry and an empty netter from Rob Middleton.  Big Rob Rowling with the Flyers goal.

WINGS   2    BRUINS   2

The Wings come back from a 2-0 deficit to the tie the men in yellow.  Mike “King of the Road” Miller and arriving from the far reach’s of the upper peninsula, sub “Donald” Sutherland score for the Wings.  Mike Nalepa and Marty Papesh dent the twine for the Bruins.

HABS   4     SHARKS   4

The battle for first place did not disappoint!  3-3 at the end of one.  4-4 final.  Tie!  “Downtown” Jimmy Brown with the deuce for the Fish.  Singles for Timmy “Dutch” Schultz and sub Scott Davenport.  Habs – Bryan Prentice, Scott Chodun, John Cornish and Steve Bittner.

BRUINS   7    HAWKS   6

Whoa!  The Bruins score three times in the games last four minutes to steal this one from the Hawks!  Last goal wins!  The newly formed line of Mike Nalepa(3 & 1), John McNeilly(2 & 3) and Chuck Bowers(2 & 2) total 13 points in the game and wreck carnage on the Hawks as they factor in all of its teams scoring!  Dr. Nate McNaughty with the trick for the Hawks.  Singles for line-mates Curt Lesnau, Steve Lemieux and Rob “Rickie” Middleton.

SHARKS   4    WINGS   2

2-2 entering the final stanza as the Sharks defeat the Wings.  The Sharks are now undefeated in their past five contests as they are tied with the Habs for the top spot in the standings.  Ward Peterson, Craig Bastuba(An Empty Netter from behind his own goal line) and subs Scott Davenport and “Claude” Akins  score for the Sharks.  Goaler Gregg Sutter with an assist on Bastuba’s goal.  Center Ryan Boyette and Steve Bayagich tally for the Wings, as they are now winless in their past five contests.

HABS   4     FLYERS   1

The Frenchmen defeat the Flyers behind the stellar net-minding of the ageless Dar!  Scott Chodun, John Cornish, Pierre Dugas and sub Mike Ala score for the Habs.  As in game one – Rob Rowling with the lone Flyers goal as they drop a deuce today.  Scott Chodun and Paulie “Knuckles” Polizzi take turns chopping each other and hit the box in tandem.
