HABS   3     BRUINS   1

The Habs do a fine job of shutting down the Bruins highly productive first line and receive two goals from John Cornish for the W.  Center Bryan Prentice with the Habs initial marker.  Goaler Dar put on a goaltending exhibition!  John McNeilly was the only Bruin to solve Dar.

FLYERS   6    SHARKS   4

Six different players dent the twine for the Flyers.  Donnie Riviera(Also 3 Helpers), Rob Rowling, Mike Riddle, Danny Rea, Eddie Sudzina and scoring his first goal of the year – Paulie “Knuckles” Polizzi.  Sharks – Lloyd Rogers(2), Scott Leslie and Jimmy Galloway.

HAWKS   3    WINGS   0

The Hawks reach into the far depths of the minor leagues and call up former Hawks goalie Kirk “Captain America” Larson who shined in nets with the shutout!  Defenseman Jack Levy with two outstanding end to end rushes that resulted in the Hawks first two goals.  Steve “Mario” Lemieux with a shorthanded goal at games end.  No Wings highlights.  A potential ugly incident occurred when the Wings Steve Wink gave a nasty hook and tug to Nate McNaughtry who took extreme exception and retaliated in a very threatening matter.  Wink picks up a 2 minute unsportsmanlike penalty.  Dr. Nate incurs a 4 minute roughing penalty.  Later in the final period Hawks sub Chris Isola is issued an unsportsmanlike  minor penalty.  Brian Reath of the Hawks had his wife and son in attendance at the game.  It’s been 13 years since Mrs. Reath has seen Brian play!  She approved!  Also Brian’s son was disappointed that Hawks forward Rob Middleton was a scratch today, as Mr. Middleton was Brian’s school teacher years ago!

BRUINS   6    SHARKS   3

1-0 Sharks entering the final period, then the Bruins and Mr. Chuck Bowers(A 4 Goal Game) score six times and send the Billy Mac Jr. less Sharks to a double dip defeat.  Mr. Bowers doubled his season goal output in this game!  “I sort of like playing on a line with John McNeilly and Mike Nalepa”, Chuck said in his post game interview.  Joey Reiss and Czech sub Niecalek with singles.  Craig Bastuba, Jimmy “Jets” Galloway and sub Jeff “Marine” Steiber score for the Fish.

WINGS   7     FLYERS   5

After being blanked in game one the Wings come out firing on all cylinders!  Mike “King of the Road” Miller with the deuce.  Singles for Steve Bayagich, Ryan Boyette, Robbie Olmstead, Steve Wink and sub Scott Davenport who also had three helpers.  Paulie Polizzi, Mike Riddle, Rob Rowling, Eddie Sudzina and Billy “The Dark” Knight score for the Flyers.

HAWKS   5    HABS   2

The battle for the top spot in the standings!  The Hawks vault past two teams today and end up in first place with two weeks to go in the regular season.  Deuces wild for line-mates Nate McNaughtry and Mr. GQ Brian Barr.  Jack Leavy with another end to end rush and goal.   Bryan Prentice and Jeff Curran tally for the Frenchmen.  Last time the two teams played, a Bryan Prentice pass broke Dr. Nate’s stick.  Dr. Nate used his backup stick for this game!  Hawks sub net-minder Kirk Larson was so excited playing for the Hawks once again, he reverted back to his infamous goalie stick!  See below!
