Jeff Ivory, Jimmy Brown and Paulie “Knuckles” Polizzi tally for the Fish. Both puck stoppers – “Smoking” Joe Polizzi and Brian Miller with excellent games in nets.
WINGS 3 FLYERS 1
Net-minder Kirk “Captain America” Larson steals this one for the Wings! Larson was outstanding with several acrobatic saves! The Boyettes – dad Terry and son Ryan and Rob Rowling score for the Wings. Steve Lemieux with the lone top shelf Flyers goal in this chippy contest. Habs sub Dave “Beach Boy” Wilson and Steve Lemieux both with roughing minor penalties. Then Rob Rowling and Flyers goalie Dar take turns chopping each other and incur slashing minors.
BRUINS 8 HAWKS 3
Bakers Bruins come playoff ready, as they utterly destroy the first place regular season Hawks! Deuces wild for John McNeilly, Mike “King of the Road” Miller and “Angry” Joey “I Play to Win” Ventimiglio. Todd Brown and Craig Bastuba with singles. Captain Rex Baker with a huge four helper game. Hawks – Chris Gerbino, Scott Chodun and buddy Dr. Nate.
WINGS 4 HAWKS 3
The Wings sweep for the day as the Hawks go the opposite way today. Big Rob Rowling with two goals for the Wings. Once again – singles for dad Terry and son Ryan Boyette. Scott Chodun, John “Shifty” Shelton and JP score for the Hawks. On his game today – Wings goalie Kirk Larson displays his glove prowess, as he stones both John Shelton and Marty Papesh with highlight reel glove saves! Marty was seen muttering something and shaking his head following Larson’s robbery on him!
SHARKS 4 FLYERS 3
Whoa! The seemingly dead in the water Sharks, roar back with four late final period goals in a five minute span to shock the Flyers! Billy Mac Jr. led the stunning comeback with a goal and there helpers! Chad Wooten, “Downtown” Jimmy Brown and sub Scott Boyzk also with Shark tallies. Steve “Mario” Lemieux(2) and Lloyd Rogers score for the Flyers.
BRUINS 2 HABS 2
Bruins jump out to a two zip lead, only to see the Habs tie it up for their second stalemate of the day! Mike Miller scores 20 seconds into the game for the Bruins. Line-mate John McNeilly also with a Bruins goal. Center Brian Moore with both French markers. His second goal was of the power play variety, as “Angry” Joey Ventimiglio watched with a feeling of helplessness in the sin bin with a body checking infraction.
