FLYERS   5    HAWKS   4

Hawks up 3-1 entering the final period – only to see the Flyers roar back to steal the W!  Donnie Rivera with a two goal game for the Flyers.  Steve “Mario” Lemieux, Curt Lesnau and Mike Nalepa with singles.  Lesnau was stoned on the forehand by a great pad save by Hawks goalie Scott French – only to bury the rebound on the backhand!  Nalepa’s game winning goal was a thing of beauty, as Donnie Rivera went left to right with the puck.  Everyone in the rink – including the two people in attendance – Marty Pasesh’s parents, knew Donnie was going to shoot.  No!  He goes cross ice to a wide open Nalepa, who gently slides the puck into a wide open cage, as the rink goes silent!  Hawks center Dr. Nate McCoughtry – who played a great game – with the deuce.  Singles for sub Degan and on a one time backhand shot – Eddie Sudzina.  No trips to the box for either squad.

BRUINS   6    WINGS   2

Reverting back to the days of his youth – Big Rex Baker with the hat trick!  Center John McNeilly with two goals.  Todd Brown with a single.  Rob Rowling and Joey Reiss tally for the Wings.

SHARKS   7    HABS   4

The high powered Sharks dismantle the Habs.  Deuces wild for “Midtown” Mikey Brown and sub Scott Bozyk.  Singles for Jeff Ivory and Chad Wooten.  Billy Mac Jr. with the hat trick assist.  Larry Rowe with the tour du chapeau for the Frenchmen.  Robbie Olmstead also with a marker.

WINGS   4     SHARKS   4

He’s Back!  After a relatively quiet start to this season – “Downtown” Jimmy Brown with all four goals for the Sharks!  Line mates Jeff Ivory(4 Helpers) and brother Mike Brown(3 Helpers) – how did that happen – tally 11 points in the game!  Wings – Rob Rowling(2), Steve Bayagich and Joey Reiss.  The Wings are now winless in their past seven contests.  Wings net minder Kirk “Captain America” Larson was spotted following the game at Kennedy’s Pub in Waterford, lamenting to anyone who would listen, on the trials and tribulations of this season.

HABS   5    FLYERS   1

The master of the stretch pass – the Habs annihilate the last place Flyers.  Habs sub net minder Rodney Heid was simply outstanding in nets!  Brian Moore with two goals for the Habs.  Singles for Robbie Olmstead, Larry Rowe and sub Aughe.  Billy Knight with the lone Flyers goal.  This was the first time this season that the Flyers line of Donnie Rivera, Mike Nalepa and Curt Lesnau did not register a goal!

BRUINS   3   HAWKS   1

The marquee game of the night!  It appears every team is now playing the top spot Hawks a little tougher – as the Hawks drop a tough deuce today!  Watch out for Bakers Bruins as they are now undefeated in their past ten contests!   Da Bruins jump out to a three zip lead as they do a nice defensive job on Dr. Nate today!  Craig Bastuba with the Bruins first goal, of the short handed variety.  Al Pyc and “Angry” Joey Ventimiglio also with goals.  Providence call up Degan with the Hawks marker.
