REMINDER – NO GAMES NEXT WEEK – JULY 6, 2017

HAPPY FOURTH OF JULY!

BRUINS   6   FLYERS   2

Total domination as Baker’s Bruins destroy the Flyers.  “Angry” Joey Ventimiglio with the hat trick!  Singles for Rex Baker, Mike “King of the Road” Miller and John McNeilly.  “Party” Pete Kaczmarek and Steve “Mario” Lemieux both with breakaway goals for the Flyers.

SHARKS   7     HAWKS   2

The Sharks just keep getting younger and younger!  Someone in the Sharks locker room was talking about going to see Chicago(The Group at DTE).  Both youngsters – sub goalie Smith and Chad Wooten thought they were talking about the city!  They never heard of the group Chicago!  LOL!  Jeff Ivory with the trick !  Singles for “Downtown” Jimmy Brown(Also 3 Helpers), Chad Wooten, Mike Ala and Billy Mac. Jr.  Dr. Nate McCaughtry and sub Hastings tally for the Hawks.  Following the game Hawks net-minder Scott French had a message for Sharks forward Mike Riddle – “I’m not Muddy – quit shooting from center ice!”

WINGS   5   HABS   4

This was a reciprocal game – as every time one team scored the other team answered back with a goal!  “Jumping” Jim Leonardi bangs in the game winner for the Wings!  Big Rob Rowling with the deuce.  Terry Boyette got the party started scoring 16 ticks into the game.  Grand Rapids call up Scott Davenport also with a goal.  Slick center Brian Moore with the tour du chapeau for the Frenchmen.  Mike Wilson also with a goal.  Robbie Olmstead picks up a solo roughing minor penalty.

HAWKS   6   FLYERS   2

It is now very evident that the league is now separated by the top three and the bottom three.  Hawks, Sharks and Bruins in the top echelon.  Wings, Habs and Flyers in the bottom  tier.  Another ugly game for the wandering, drifting, nobody home Flyers.  The Hawks had no less than FIVE two on oh’s on the loneliest man on the ice – Flyers net minder Dar!  It was very ugly from a Flyers perspective.  Dr Nate with the trick.  John “Shifty” Shelton with the deuce – who also missed a wide open tap in!  Center Scott Chodun also with a goal.  Marty Papesh with three helpers.  Donnie Rivera(SH) and Lenny Gerbino score for the last place Flyers.

SHARKS   5   HABS   1

Da Sharks convert on two early game power play goals to roll to a doubleheader sweep!  Singles for Jeff Ivory, Mike Riddle, Billy Mac Jr. and the Browns – Jimmy and Mike.  Defenseman Mike Krueger with the Habs lone marker.

BRUINS   5   WINGS   1

The Bruins keep on rolling with their stellar sub goalie John Valenti.  The Bruins are now undefeated in their past 14 games!  Amazingly, they are just in third place!  Deuces wild for “Angry” Joey Ventimiglio(5 on the night) and John McNeilly.  Al Pyc with a single.  Rob Rowling with the Wings marker.

Who was the Edmonton Oiler rookie defenseman, who banked the puck off his own goalie’s(Grant Fuhr) skate, for the game seven Stanley Cup Final 3-2 game winning goal for the Calgary Flames?
