HAPPY ST. PATRICKS DAY!

WEEK FOUR – PLAYOFFS

IT’S A THREE TEAM RACE WITH ONE WEEK (2 GAMES) REMAINING IN THE PLAYOFFS!

ONE TEAM WILL LEAVE DISAPPOINTED NEXT WEEK!

HAWKS WITH 14 POINTS – BRUINS AND SHARKS WITH 13 POINTS.

HAWKS AND SHARKS PLAY IN GAME ONE NEXT WEEK – BIG GAME!

ALL THE SECOND GAMES NEXT WEEK ARE NOT HEAD TO HEAD WITH THE BIG THREE .

THE HAWKS, BRUINS AND SHARKS WILL BE LOOKING FOR GAME TWO HELP!

HABS   2     SHARKS    2

Dar and the Frenchmen play an excellent game as they receive goals from subs Rob Rowling and Chris Isola.  Playing without their top gun today – Dr. Nate McCoughtry, who is rumored to be preparing for St. Patricks Day, the Sharks leave an important point on the board with the tie.  “Midtown” Mikey Brown and Donnie Rivera score for the Fish.

HAWKS    5    BRUINS   2

A huge head to head matchup as the the Hawks prevail!  Hawks go up 3 zip entering the final period to abscond the important two points!  Captain John “Shifty” Shelton with the deuce.  Singles for Brian Reath, sub John Cornish and Steve “Mario” Lemieux on a penalty shot.  Puck stopper Kirk “Captain America” was infallible in nets.  The noticeable slimmer Benny Hudson and reliving his youngster days of playing outside at the Heilman rink, in what is now the worst zip code in Detroit for crime – The 48205 – Jeff Curran scores for the Bruins.  This was a penalty free game.

WINGS    10    FLYERS   3

Ouch!  A game of zero playoff consequence and it showed in the free wheeling style of both teams.  The Flyers with six subs and the Wings with four subs in this contest.  The line of Wings sub Scott Boyzk(4 & 1), Brian Moore(1 & 3) and “Angry” Joey Ventimiglio(2 & 2) total 13 points in the game, as Bozyk’s first goal comes at the 38 second mark of the game!  Singles for Terry Boyette, Terry’s son Dana and Mike Wilson.  Flyers subs – imagine that, with six of them – Pat “The Beast” Wosek, Robbie Olmstead and Hastings dent the twine.

HAWKS   3    FLYERS   1

Hawks sweep for the day as they precariously lead in the playoff standings by a point.  Rockford call up John Cornish with a two goal game.  Timmy “Dutch” Schultz with the Hawks final marker.  Flyers sub Kyle Lybecker with their lone goal.  Hawks net minder Kirk Larson picks up a tripping penalty in the games final minute to make it interesting.

WINGS   8    HABS    6

Another game of zero playoff consequence as both teams do their NBA All Star game impression totaling 14 goals in the game!  The Wings offense was in vogue today as they send 18 pucks into the net in today’s doubleheader!  Wings center Mr. Brian Moore with a four goal game!  Singles for Joey Ventimiglio, Ray Tonelli and subs Gary “Tall Dude” Seelbinder and Dana Boyette.  Super sub Rob Rowling with the tour du chapeau for the Frenchmen.  Singles for Larry Rowe, Dougie Roehl and sub Chris Isola, who also had three helpers.

BRUINS  1    SHARKS   0

A huge W for Bakers Bruins, as now both the Bruins and Sharks are tied for the second spot in the playoff standings!  Bruins scoring machine John McNeilly with the games only goal!  Both puck stoppers – “Smoking” Joe Polizzi and Billy Mac Jr. were outstanding in nets!  Do you think the Sharks missed scoring machine Dr. Nate today, with an unusually only two goal total output for both games?  Yep!
