WINGS    4    BRUINS   2

The Wings hand the Bruins their first defeat of the season behind the stellar net-minding of “Smoking” Joe Polizzi.  Captain Ryan Boyette with a two goal game.  Singles for  Mike Nalepa and sub Emerson.  John McNeilly and Chris Isola tally for the men in yellow.  Ryan Boyette and McNeilly both pick up roughing minor penalties.

HABS   8    SHARKS   4

The leagues leading scorer – Mr. Rob Rowling with a huge five goal game!  Looks like he’s listening to former teammate Mikey Brown’s advice!  Bob “Claude” Giroux,  Scott Chodun and Robbie Olmstead with singles.  Sharks – Billy Mac Jr. (2), Jeff Ivory and defenseman Pierre Dugas.

FLYERS   2    HAWKS   2

It almost happened!  The Flyers were looking for their first W of the season.  Center Joey Reiss with both Flyers goals.  Left winger Marty Papesh with both Hawks goals.  The Flyers killed off four penalties in the game.  Hawks Captain John “Shifty” Shelton was so engrossed in bringing and displaying his Sting wearables today in the lobby, that he forgot to bring his own uniform.  Shelton played in a bootleg #95 black Sting jersey.

HABS   7    FLYERS    1

Deuses wild for Rob Rowling, Scott Chodun and sub Trevor Thompson as the Frenchmen keep the Flyers winless on the season.  Mike Wilson also with a Habs goal.  Defenseman Lloyd Rogers with the hat trick assist.  Habs goaltender Billy Schaugg with a ten save game.  Young Marcel Dimitri with the lone Flyers goal.

WINGS    8    SHARKS   3

This well oiled Wings team ascends to a tie with the Bruins for the top spot in the standings.  Steve Bittner with the hat trick,   “Angry” Joey Ventimiglio with the deuce.  Singles for Steve Bayagich, Ryan Boyette and Mike Nalepa.  Billy Mac Jr., Donnie Riviera and sub Robert Duff score for the Fish, who surrendered 16 goals in today’s doubleheader.  Ouch!

BRUINS   4    HAWKS   2

Dr. Nate McNaughtry with the natural hat trick in a five minute final period span, propels the Bruins to the victory.  Chris Isola with the Bruins initial marker.  Once again, winger Marty Papesh does his teams goal scoring, with both Hawks goals.  Centers John McNeilly and Brian Moore hit the box in tandem with roughing minor penalties.  Dr. Nate was looking pretty spiffy with his new blue suede shoes in the parking lot following the game!  Shades of Elvis!
