HAWKS   3     FLYERS   3

Down 3-0, the Hawks score three goals in the games last four minutes to steal a point from the Flyers!  Hawks sub Greg Kalvin scores his second goal of the game with the goalie pulled!  Fellow sub JP goes slap shot short side for the Hawks first marker.  Big Rob Rowling, Billy Knight and “Midtown” Mikey Brown score for the Flyers.  Brown’s goal was a tantalizing slap shot top shelf.  Flyers sub goaltender Mark Luzczki was outstanding in nets!

WINGS   5    BRUINS   2

The Wings snap a 2-2 tie in the final period with three unanswered goals.  Wings sub Paul Elsila with the hat trick.  Singles for Brian Moore and Robbie Olmstead.  Steve Bayagich with three helpers.  Mike Nalepa and John McNeilly tally for the men in yellow.  Things got a little feisty with two minutes left in the game, as John McNeilly and the Wings Steve Wink take issue with each other.  Both players pick up three penalties, with McNeilly incurring roughing and cross checking minors along with a ten minute unsportsmanlike conduct penalty.  Wink with body checking and roughing minors and also a ten minute unsportsmanlike conduct penalty.  Both players headed to their respective lockers rooms before the end of the game to cool off.

HABS   5    SHARKS   2

The Habs score twice within a minute span two times in the final period to harpoon the Sharks.  Scott Chodun, Bryan Prentice, Mike Krueger, Steve Bittner and Larry “School Boy” Rowe score for the Frenchmen.  Billy Mac Jr. with both Sharks goals.  No trips to the sin bin for either squad.

SHARKS    3    WINGS   2

The top spot Sharks jump out to a three zip first period lead and hold on for the W!  “Downtown” Jimmy Brown, Craig Bastuba and “Angry” Joey Ventimiglio score for the Sharks.  Brian Moore and Steve Bayagich with the Wings markers.  Both puck stoppers – winning goalie Greg Sutter and “Smoking” Joe Polizzi were excellent in nets.

BRUINS   7    HAWKS   5

Da Bruins shake it up and move Captain Rex Baker to center on the checking line and it works to perfection.  The line of John McNeilly(Hat Trick), Joey Reiss(Hat Trick) and Mike Nalepa( 1 & 2) total 11 points in the game as they factor in all of it’s teams goals!  As in game one, the Hawks roar back from a 3-0 deficit and actually take a 4-3 lead, only to see the Bruins respond in winning fashion.  Hawks sub Mr. Greg Kalvin with all FIVE Hawks goals!  Nice game Greg!

FLYERS   5    HABS   4

Rob Rowling leads the Flyers with the deuce.  Singles for Mike Riddle, left defenseman Danny Rea and Eddie Sudzina.  Scott Chodun with a two goal game for Habs.  Singles for Bryan Prentice and “The Rib-Master” Larry Rowe.
