Still reveling from last week’s MVP performance and the capturing of the Sam Cupp Championship – Mr. Brian Miller puts a huge hurting on the Hawks with a four goal game!  Second line center Robbie Olmstead with the trick.  Singles for Mike Miller(Also 3 Helpers) and Steve Bayagich.  Right defenseman Ryan Boyette also with a three helper game.  Hawks – Nate McCaughtry, Steve “Mario” Lemieux and returning from major health issues and playing in his first game since last December – Rob “Rickie” Middleton.

BRUINS   2    HABS   1

1-1 game entering the final period.  Habs defenseman Pierre Dugas is winding up for one of his tantalizing slap shots!  Oh oh – Pierre’s stick breaks and results in a great pass to the Bruins Marty Papesh, who goes in alone on a breakaway and buries the game winner!  Rex Baker with the Bruins initial marker.  Steve Bittner with the lone French goal.  Both goalies – Chris Arthur of the Bruins and Habs sub Nadolsky with excellent games in nets!

SHARKS   3   FLYERS   2

Scoring twice and assisting on the game winning goal, the Sharks Craig Bastuba was everywhere!  Sharks sub “Smiling” Scott Davenport with the game winning goal.  Rob Rowling and sub Stacey tally for the Flyers.  Both goalies – Greg Sutter of the Sharks and Billy Schaugg of the Flyers with strong puck stopping skills.

Captain Bryan Prentice leads the Frenchmen with a two goal game.  Pierre Dugas on a very nice in close backhand slam dunk and sub Paul Violassi with singles.  Dr. Nate with both Hawks goals.  A very special shoutout to the Habs Larry “Schoolboy” Rowe who cooked his  special ribs in the parking lot following the games!  Thanks again Larry!

SHARKS   3    BRUINS   2

Da Sharks sweep for the day behind the two goal efforts of Billy Mac Jr.  Craig Bastuba with the game winner.  John McNeilly and returning from health issues, Chuck Bowers score for the Bruins.  Once again Sharks goaler Chris Arthur was stellar in nets.

FLYERS   2    WINGS   2

Flyers go up 2-0 entering the final stanza on goals once again from Rob Rowling and sub Stacey “Keach”.  Steve Bayagich and Mike T. Brown reciprocate in the final period for the Wings as the game ends in a draw.  Billy Schaugg and “Smoking” Joe Polizzi both with excellent games between the pipes.
