WINGS   5     SHARKS   2

The Wings surprise the Sharks behind the two goal effort of right winger Steve Bayagich!  Singles for line-mates Mike “King of the Road” Miller, Mike T. Brown(Also 3 Helpers) and Brian Moore.  Jimmy Brown and Lloyd Rogers tally for the Sharks, who had long time Sting member Lou Suvak, who is on the Sharks DL list with a lower body injury in attendance.

FLYERS   4     HABS   4

Flyers score three times in period one – Habs score three time in period two – tie!  Deuces wild for John Cornish and Habs sub Stacey.  Big Rob Rowling(2), “Midtown” Mikey Brown and playing like the days of his youth in Allen Park – Donnie Riviera score for the Flyers.

HAWKS   3    BRUINS   2

Oh Boy!  The Hawks completely steal this W away from Baker’s Bruins!  Seemingly in complete control leading 2-0, the Bruins witness the Hawks score three times in just over a minute in the final period!  Hawks sub Scott Davenport with the first and final goals.  Brian Reath with the Hawks middle marker.  Hawks net-minder Keith Konnie stood on his head in this game making save after save!  Line-mates Joey Reiss and John McNeilly tally for the men in yellow as their goalie Kris “King” Arthur also had a very strong game in nets.

SHARKS   6    FLYERS   3

The Sharks right the ship after game one and decisively defeat the Flyers.  “Downtown” Jimmy Brown with the deuce.  Singles for Craig Basuba, Billy Mac Jr. and Jimmy “Jets” Galloway.  As in game one – Rob Rowling with a two goal game for the Flyers.  Mike Riddle with an unassisted goal.  This game featured one of Pat “The Beast” Wosek’s specialties.  A long distance no look slap shot that nails an unsuspecting opposing player right in the head!  Ouch!  The Sharks had a raucous crowd rooting for them as sub “Vin” Scully had six people in attendance due to his actual 62nd birthday.  His family including his 7 month old granddaughter and  a surprise fan – his ex-wife!  Happy birthday “Vinnie”!

HAWKS   5    WINGS   4

Subbing for Dr. Nate,  Scott Davenport does his best Dr. Nate impersonation as he plays two outstanding games today and records the hat trick in this game and five goals on the day!  Singles for right defenseman Brian Reath and sub Jimmy Degan(Also 3 Helpers).  The Hawks took advantage of the Wings turnover generosity as three of their goals were direct coughs by the Wings.  Another two goal game for Wings right winger Steve Bayagich.  Singles for Ryan Boyette and a tremendous slap shot blast from sub Kurt Salvatore.   Wings puck stopper “Smoking” Joe Polizzi made several outstanding point blank saves!

HABS   2     BRUINS   1

A tight goaltender battle between Dar and Kris Arthur, who both played outstanding games between the pipes!  Pierre Dugas and using his Reebok stick(I thought they just made trendy athletic shoes) Bryan Prentice score for the Frenchmen.  Center John McNeilly with the lone Bruins goal.
