HAWKS    5    SHARKS   2

1-0 Sharks entering the final period.  Then the Hawks rattle off four goals in a four minute span to harpoon the Sharks!  Billy Hagen and linemate Matt Dawson both with two goal games.  Curt Lesnau with a single.  Right winger Marchin Niecalek with both Sharks goals.  His first goal was a top shelf blast from the right wing!

FLYERS   2     BRUINS   2

All the scoring was accomplished in period one, as goalies Bobby Rutkoske and Rick “Ticker” Chauvin close the door in the final period.  Chuck Mouraine and Brian Belloli tally for the men in yellow.  Robbie Porter and Bruce “The Enabler” Gooel with the top spot Flyers markers.  Peter Gibb of the Flyers picks up his third penalty(Unsportsmanlike Conduct) of the game very early in the final period to rest up for game two.

WINGS   2    HABS   2

Al Pyc scores with just nine seconds left on the arena clock, to give the Wings a tie!  Wings sub Jim “Vin” Scully with their initial goal.  Marty Sell and Kenny “Primetime” Wilkins score for the Habs.  Both goalies – Mike Schilmgen of the Wings and sub Paul Kaczmarek of the Habs with excellent games in nets.

HAWKS   6    FLYERS   3

The playoff ready last place Hawks put a hurting on the Flyers.  This game had a very zany start to it.  Curt Lesnau of the Hawks scores 14 seconds into the game.  Then Flyers sub Paul “Brett Michaels” Vioalssi scores his first of two goals on a double stick ricochet shot ten seconds later.  Then 47 seconds after that, in my humble opinion, the best defenseman in the league and the very well rested Peter Gibb, scores to put the Flyers up 2-1 with just 79 seconds gone in the game!  Down 3-1, the Hawks score three more times in the first period to go up 4-3 entering the final period and secure the win with two final period goals.  Energized, playing on a line with his Dad – sub Matt Dawson with another two goal game for the Hawks.  Dad Mike, Keith Foucher and Billy Hagen with singles.

WINGS   5    BRUINS   1

0-0 entering the final stanza.  Then the Wings score five consecutive goals to run away with the W!  James George with the deuce.  Singles for Paulie “Jay” Giles, Mark Munsterman and grunge guitarist Keith Lutz.  Mike Schlimgen with another strong game in nets.  Rick Batchelder with the lone Bruins marker.

HABS   3     SHARKS   2

The Habs continue to receive fine goaltending from sub Paul Kaczmarek and edge out a W against the Sharks.  Jimmy “Boog” Powell with the final two Habs goals.  Kenny Wilkins once again finds the back of the net for the Habs.  Ronnie Meltsner and called up from the elite Polish league, Marchin Niecalek tally for the Fish, who drop a deuce today.  No penalties in this game.

Name me two brothers that both played for the Detroit Red Wings and the Montreal Canadians?
