HAWKS   2    BRUINS   1

All the scoring occurred in period one, as both goalies – Al Rice of the Hawks and Bruins sub “Freddy” Stanfel of the Bruins play excellent games in nets.  Returning from the DL – Joe Plati and sub Bob “Bugsy” Watson score for the Hawks.  Brian Belloli with a very nice tip in for the Bruins goal, in this penalty free game.

WINGS   0     HAWKS   0

A rare occurrence in any league – a scoreless tie!  Al Rice of the Hawks and Mike Schlimgen of the Wings take turns swatting away shot after shot!  Good job boys!  The Wings held the territorial advantage in this game, as they pick up their second tie of the day.

SHARKS   5     FLYERS   3

Sharks down 2-1 entering the final period – then rattle off four final period goals!  Big Ben Haynes with the trick for the Sharks.  Singles for Steve Dietrich and Marine, sub Jim “Vin” Scully.  Robbie Porter, Bruce Gooel and Al Sparks do the honors for the Flyers.  No trips to the sin bin for either squad.

HABS   6    BRUINS   1

The Frenchmen sweep on the day, as subs Matt Lawson(Also 3 Helpers) and “Jason” Wooley each record two goal games.  “Gentleman” Don Courtley and defenseman Brian Gross with singles.  Sub goalie Paul Kaczmarek was outstanding in both games today for the Habs.  Jim Chapie was the only Bruin to solve Mr. Kaczmarek, as the Bruins drop a deuce today.
