The Frenchmen put a hurting on the Sharks first place aspirations! Deuces wild for “Gentleman” Don Courtley and Mike Ala. Al Platt with the Habs initial marker. Sir Kevin Beebe stood on his proverbial head for the Frenchmen in this contest! Sharks sub Chuck Mouraine with their tally in this penalty free game.
BRUINS 8 HAWKS 1
Ouch! Da Bruins make up for getting blanked in game one, as they destroy the Hawks! Adam Godard with a two goal game. Singles for Cam “Steamboat” Lawrence, John Perini, Rob “The Rifleman” Duncan(Also 3 Helpers) and subs “Magnum” Higgins and Bill Fay. Puck stopper Bobby Rutkoske only allowed one puck past him in today’s doubleheader! Bruce Gooel with a nice effort to beat Mr. Rutkoske.
WINGS 2 SHARKS 2
Goal keeps Brian Miller and Mike Mostyn both with excellent games between the pipes. Al Pyc and Russian sub Niealek score for the Wings. David Walters and once again sub Chuck Mourine with the Sharks markers.
FLYERS 3 HABS 1
Can you hear that sound! The soundtrack of Jaws is getting louder and louder! The Flyers sweep for the day to end up in a first place tie with the Sharks, with one week(2 Games) left in the season! If the Flyers are successful to end up in first place for the season, they will carry a four point lead into the playoffs! They do not play each other next week! James George(SH), Keith Foucher and sub Paulie “Knuckles” Polizzi dent the twine for the Flyers. Mike Schlimgen once again only allowed one goal in the game! Mike Ala with that goal for the Frenchmen.
