HAWKS   4      SHARKS   3

Rockford call up Paulie “Knuckles” Polizzi scores the Hawks first two goals as they defeat the Sharks.  Subs Dave Rupprecht and Larry Rowe also score for the Hawks.  The line of Al Pyc(1 & 2),  and subs Paul Violassi(1 & 1)  and Gary Szalanski(1 & 2) do all the scoring for the Fish.

FLYERS    4    BRUINS    1

Goals against leader Bobby Rutkoske played outstanding this contest as he made several stunning saves!  The swift Jimmy George with the Flyers first three goals!  Fedoras littered the ice!  Ryan O’Rourke with an empty net tally.  Curt Lesnau with the lone Bruins marker in this penalty free game.

WINGS   4     HABS    4

Deuces wild for Bob Lee and sub Matt Dawson, as General Lee scores his second goal late in the game for the tie.  Habs sub Robert Stempian with a two goal game.  Fellow sub Oyama and Mike Ala with singles.

FLYERS    3     HAWKS   2

It finally happened!  After 14 consecutive undefeated games, the first place Hawks go down!  But there’s a caveat here.  After their game one win and catching wind that the Bruins lost in game one, the Hawks knew they had it wrapped up.  I’m guessing that factored into the final score.  A game of no consequence.  But – having said that – the Flyers play a very good game behind the two goal effort of Captain Ryan O’Rourke and the game winning goal by Gerry Krause!  Net-minder Bobby Rutkoske was out of his mind again!  As in game one – subs Dave Rupprecht and the league’s leading goal getter – sub Larry “School Boy” Rowe dent the twine for the Hawks.

SHARKS   2     HABS   1

Shutout leader Mike Schlimgen plays a very strong game for the Sharks.  Subs John Siterlet and Gary Szalanski score for the Sharks.  Moncton call up Robert Stempian with the Habs goal.

WINGS    8    BRUINS   1

The Wings put a hurting on the Bruins.  Led by their General(See Picture Below)  – Robert E. Lee, who lead the league in points and assists, compiles a 2 & 2 game for the Wings.  Paul Giles with a two goal game courtesy of General Lee’s two pin point on the tape passes.  Right off the plane from Florida, sub winger John Zuccarini also with a two goal game.  Cam Lawrence and on a beautiful low far side laser – Dr. Keri Topouzian with singles.  Right D Barry Piornack with four helpers!  Defenseman Keith Lutz with the Bruins only highlight, scoring on a blast from the point.  This was a penalty free game.

Last man standing!

Which player on the Red Wings is the only player left on their current roster, who played on the 2008 Stanley Cup Championship Red Wings team?

Scroll down for the answer.
