BRUINS   5    HAWKS   5

A back and forth very entertaining contest.  Al Pyc sends the Hawks in front with his second goal of the game with just two minutes left in the final period.  Bruins forward Adam Godard reciprocates a minute later, with the goalie pulled to tie it up!  James George also with a two goal game for the Hawks.  “Gentleman” Don Courtley with a single.  Providence call up Danny Shannon scores twice for the men in yellow.  Taking pointers from his son Tony – Counselor Tom McHugh and sub Lawson with Hawks goals.

SHARKS   2    WINGS   1

Da Sharks receive goals from veterans Steve “Barney Miller” Dietrich and the game winner from Ben Haynes to defeat the Wings.  Paulie “Jay” Giles with the Wings lone marker.  Both puck stoppers – Sharks sub Rick ‘Ticker” Chauvin and Wings Mike Schlimgen were outstanding between the pipes!

HABS    2    FLYERS   0

Mike Lawson and Steve Orr record first period tallies for the Frenchmen and goaltender Sir Kevin Beebe spins the whitewash.  No Flyers highlights in this penalty free game.

SHARKS    5    FLYERS    2

Deuces wild for Ben Haynes and Kevin Mahon.  Kevin dressed hurriedly following the game, so he could catch his mentor, Obama’s  farewell address on T.V. at 9:00 P.M.  Jimmy “Boog” Powell with a single.  Bruce “Cooler Man” Gooel and John Zuccarini tally for the Flyers.  No trips to the sin bin for either squad.

WINGS   5      HAWKS    2

The Wings break open a close 3-2 game late in the final period to split for the day.  Cam “Steamboat” Lawrence and Marty Sell both with two goal games.  Barry Piornack with a 1 & 3 game.  Grand Rapids call up Steve “Mario” Lemieux with the hat trick assist.  Mark Smyth and Garrett Taormina score for the Hawks.

HABS    5    BRUINS   2

Hmm.  The Habs sweep for the day!  Could it be the ramifications of last weeks constructive criticism of the Frenchmen not playing up to their capabilities?  Leading the way – Captain Kenny “Prime Time” Wilkins with the deuce.  Singles for Steve Orr, Mike Lawson and sub “Magnum” Higgins.  Subs Danny Shannon and Lawson score for the Bruins.
