HAWKS   4   HABS   2

Mark Smyth scores 34 ticks into the game as the Hawks upend the Frenchmen.  Al Pyc with the last two goals and Parker “You Can Call Me” Johnson with the game winner.  Chris Zanke and and Moncton sub Scott Leslie score for the Habs.

FLYERS    1    WINGS   0

Smooth skating skating John Zuccarini scores on the games first shift and that was all the scoring in this contest.  The Mikes – Mostyn and Schlimgen were outstanding between the pipes as Mostyn spins the whitewash in this penalty free game!

SHARKS   6     BRUINS    5

Just the opposite in this game as goals abound!  Big Ben Haynes scores his second goal of the game with just under four minutes left for the game winner!  Singles for Steve “Barney Mike” Dietrich, Jimmy “Boog” Powell, Joe Plati and Kevin Mahon.  Bruins – Adam Godard(2), Rick Batchelder, Dougie Roehl and sub Steve Lemieux.

FLYERS   3      BRUINS   0

A rare occurrence – as goaltender Mike Mostyn records the double shutout today!  Nice job Mike!  Gary Enmark with the first and game winning goal for the Flyers.  Mike Ala with the Flyers final two tallies.  No Bruins highlights as they drop a deuce today.

HABS   6     WINGS    1

The Habs jump out to a four zip first period lead and send the Wings to a double dip loss today.  Sub Lawson with a two goal game.  Singles for Steve Orr, John Perini, Dave Walters and once again sub Scott Leslie.  “Bruising” Joe Grueling with the hat trick assist.  Habs net-minder Sir Kevin Beebe with several key saves in the game.  Rob “The Rifleman” Duncan was the only Wing to solve Sir Kevin.

HAWKS    5    SHARKS   3

Deuces wild for Ronnie Meltsner and Al Pyc as the resurgent Hawks take a deuce today!  James George with a single.  Brian Belloli with three helpers.  Once again Kevin Mahon and Ben Haynes score for the Sharks.  Sub “Magnum” Higgins with he Sharks middle tally.  It got a little nasty as Sharks forward Ben Haynes adamantly voices his displeasure at both referee’s and picks up simultaneous abuse of officials(10 Minutes) and an abuse of officials game misconduct and a head start to the beverage cooler in the locker room.

In 1970 the Red Wings made a blockbuster multiplayer trade with the St. Louis Blues, which included the Wings sending budding star Garry Unger to the Blues.
Which player was the focal point the Wings received from the Blues in return?

Red Berenson
