STARS 1 HAWKS 1

Stars sub Larson scores with the goalie pulled, to wreck the shutout for Hawks net minder “Sugar” John Marchin and secure a point for the Stars. Jimmy “Boog” Powell with the Hawks marker. Stars goalie Bobby Rutkoske also shined in nets, in this nail biting contest! No trips to the sin bin for either squad.

HABS 4 LEAFS 3

That’s why we call him Prime Time! Kenny “Prime Time” Wilkins scores his second goal of the game with just under three minutes left, to give the Frenchmen the W! Long time teammates – Jeff “Dick” Tracy and “Gentleman” Don Courtley also with French goals. Dave Wargo, Al Platt and Steve Dietrich tally for the Leafs.

WINGS 5 BRUINS 1

1-1 game – then the top spot Wings proceed to rattle off four goals in a six minute final period span, to deflate the Bruins. Marty Sell with the deuce. Singles for Gary Enmark, Mike Ala and Chuck Mouriane. Wings sub goalie Rick “Ticker” Chauvin with a solid game in nets. Brian Belloli with the lone Bruins goal.

STARS 4 HABS 1

The second place Stars remain undefeated in six straight games as rushing defenseman Mike Charison leads the parade with a two goal game. Singles for Tommy Trice and sub Larson. Marcel Dionne like playmaker Pat Collins with the hat trick assist. Goaler Bobby Rutkose with a light workload. Donald Courtley with the Habs marker.

HAWKS 5 BRUINS 3

John Perini scores 42 ticks into the game for the Bruins, only to see the Hawks score three final period goals for the victory. Deuces wild for Jimmy George and Dave “Buckeye” Wahl. Steve Orr with a single. Bobby Watson and Barry Piornack with the other Bruins markers as they remain winless in six consecutive games. Dave “ Hammer” Arsenualt of the Bruins picks up a two minute solo roughing infraction.

WINGS 3 LEAFS 0

Sharp shooter Chuck Mouraine scores twice as the Wings now lead the second place Stars by four points with only one week to go in the regular season. Marty Sell with the Wings middle marker. Sub golaer Rick “Ticker” Chauvin racks up career shutout number 19 for the Wings. No Leafs highlights as Leafs sub Superman makes his return to the league he left in vexatious fashion.
