BACK FROM THE WARMTH OF ARIZONA. ONLY ICE I SAW WAS IN A GLASS!

STARS 4 HABS 3
Eddie “The Eagle” Higgins soars down the right side and buries the game winner with under a minute to go in the contest. Eddie also added three helpers to boot. Mark Smyth, Ronnie Meltsner and Tommy Trice also tally for the Stars. Donald Courtley, Kenneth Wilkins and Moncton call up Matthew Lawson score for the Frenchmen in this penalty free game.
WINGS 4 LEAFS 2
This guy is nothing but money! Sniper Gary Enmark scores the top shelf game winning goal, on his first shift of the final period. Teammates Paulie “Jay” Giles, John Zuccarini and the league’s top goal scorer Chuck Mouraine round out the goal scoring for the Wings. Grand Rapids call up Rick “Ticker” Chauvin with his usual stellar effort between the pipes. Al Platt and Jimmy “One Skate” Sauter find the back of the net for the men in blue.

HAWKS 5 BRUINS 1
Smooth skating Steve Orr scores shorthanded four minutes into the contest and adds another marker in the first period, to lead the Hawks to the W. Jim Chapie also with a deuce and Jimmy Powell with a single for the Hawks. “Sugar” John Marchin was outstanding in nets for the Hawks. Returning from his season starting extended D.L. stint with a middle body injury – Bob “Bugsy” Watson with the lone Bruin goal.

BRUINS 3 HABS 2
Adam Goddard scores the games only final period goal, for the game winner. Adam also tallied in the initial period. Bruins sub “Jumping” Jim Leonardi added a marker. The Bruins call up French Canadian goaler Benoit from the far reaches of Quebec, as he shines in nets! Jeff “Dick” Tracy and once again sub Matt Lawson score for the Habs, who have not won a game in seven consecutive attempts.

WINGS 2 HAWKS 2
A well played game as both goalies John Marchin and sub “Ticker” Chauvin take turns swatting away shot after shot. Mike Ala and who else – Gary Enmark tally for the top spot Wings, who have not lost in 13 straight games. Hawks – Jimmy George and Southfields own – Dave “Buckeye” Wahl. Penalty minute leader – rookie Chuck Mouraine, with a 2 minute body checking penalty and a 10 minute unsportsmanlike infraction, adds to his escalating penalty minute total.

STARS 2 LEAFS 0
The league’s leading scorer Ronnie Meltsner and the elusive Pat Collins score the games only goals, as the Stars sweep for the day. Goaler Bobby Rutkoske with the whitewash. No Leafs highlights as they drop a deuce today. The Leafs Chris Zanke and Meltsner both receive roughing minors and commiserate together in the box.
