FLYERS   5    WINGS    3

The Wings score two goals in the games final minute to narrow the score to 4-3 in favor of the Flyers.  The juggernaut Flyers hold on for the W with an empty net goal at the buzzer.  Joe Plati with a two goal game for the Flyers.  Singles for Stevie Lambert, Gerry Krause and with his fine looking camouflage tape on the blade of his stick – John Zuccarini.  Brian Westenberg and subs “Magnum” Higgins and Steve “Mario” Lemieux score for the Wings in this penalty free game.

HABS   6    HAWKS    0

The Habs score three goals a period to destroy the failing Hawks.  Deuces wild for Mike Ala and sub Bob “Bugsy” Watson.  Mike Lawson and sub Dougie Roehl also with goals.  Sir Kevin Beebe picks up the shutout with a seven save game.

SHARKS   3     BRUINS    1

A well played contest as the Fish prevail.  Steve Orr, John Perini and Chris Zanke do the honors for the Sharks.  Goaltender Brian Miller was spectacular in nets.  John “Hal” McRae was the only Bruin to solve Miller in this penalty free game.

FLYERS   3     BRUINS    2

Sniper Ronnie Meltsner scores his second goal of the game late in the final period to break a 2-2 tie and send the Flyers to their 15th consecutive game without a loss!  The dominating Flyers have only one loss this season!  The Bruins played them tough though!  Stevie Lambert with the Flyers initial goal.  Eddie ‘The Eagle” Higgins and Gary Enmark tally for the men in yellow.  Both puck stoppers – Flyers sub Benoit and the Bruins Bobby Rutkoske were excellent between the pipes.  No trips to the sin bin for either squad.

SHARKS   6     HAWKS   2

The Sharks take a deuce today and the Hawks remain winless in their last four doubleheaders.  Steve Orr with two goals for the Sharks.  Singles for Jimmy “Boog” Powell, Chris Zanke, Barry Piornack and Steve “Barney Miller” Dietrich.  James George and Rob “The Rifleman” Duncan score for the Hawks in the fourth penalty free game of the night!

HABS  7    WINGS   2

Home cooking was good today – as all the home teams prevail!  The Habs offense produces 13 goals on the night as they convert two shorthanded goals in this contest!  Moncton call up Dougie Roehl and Mike Ala with deuces wild.  Singles for Mike Lawson, Kenny “Primetime” Wilkins and “Gentleman” Don Courtley. Marty Sell and sub Steve Lemieux score for the Wings.  Returning from parts unknown was Wings sub goaltender Bruno Tadolini!  Welcome back Bruno!  The Habs “Bruising” Joe Grueling and the Wings Brian Belloli exchange “pleasantries” and hit the box in tandem.
