WINGS 3 STARS 2

Returning from parts unknown – Wings sub Kevin Mahon scores on the games first shift to get the Wings started. Next shift – Mike Ala finds the back of the net for the Wings. Marty Sell with the Wings game winner. Ronnie Meltsner and Eddie Higgins tally for the Stars. Both goalers – Wings sub Rick “Ticker” Chauvin and Bobby Rutkoske(Except for the games first 2 shifts) with excellent games in nets.

HAWKS 6 HABS 4

1-1 entering the final period – then the flood gates opened! Mr. James George with a huge four goal game for the Hawks! Singles for James Powell and sub “Fred” Lynn. Powell picks up a two minute equipment violation penalty – whatever that is? Cam “Steamboat” Lawrence with the tour du chapeau for the Frenchmen. “Gentleman” Don Courtley with a single.

HABS 6 WINGS 4

Habs power winger David Walters scores a minute into the game to set the games tone. Kenny “Prime Time” Wilkins, Cam Lawrence. Jeff “Dick” Tracy, Ben Haynes and sub Perini round out the French scoring. Wings – Mike Ala, Marty Sell and subs Scott Leslie and Kevin Mahon. No trips to the sin bin for either squad.

STARS 3 BRUINS 3

A very entertaining contest – good goaltending and up and down hockey highlight this contest. Eddie “The Eagle” Higgins scores his third goal of the game late in the final period to send the Stars up 3-2. Exactly 47 seconds later – Adam Goddard ties the game up for the Bruins! Teddy Evans with the first two Bruins markers. Mike Mostyn and Bobby Rutkoske both with solid efforts between the pipes.

HAWKS 6 LEAFS 1

The Hawks run roughshod over the last place Leafs. Hawks – Dr. Keri Topouzian, Dave “Buckeye” Wahl, Rob “The Rifleman” Duncan, James George, and subs Lynn and Higgins – sounds like a law firm. Goaltender “Sugar” John Marchin with a very light workload. Once again the Leafs only score a single goal, as Dave Wargo does the honors this time.
