SHARKS    5    WINGS   2

Bruce Gooel scores on the games first shift for the Sharks.  Eleven seconds later Ben Haynes put the Sharks up two zip!  Eight seconds later Wings sub Mike Harke scores to conclude this wild start!  The Sharks prevail behind the two goal effort of Mike Lawson.  Captain Dietrich with the game winning goal.  Robbie Porter with the Wings final marker.

FLYERS   3     HABS   2

Mike Ala and Joe Plati score a minute apart to seal the Flyers W.  Captain Ryan O’Rourke with the Flyers initial tally.  John “The Little Ball of Hate” Perini and David Herkowitz score for the Habs.

BRUINS   4     HAWKS   3

The Bruins benefit from a couple of fortunate bounces and eke out the victory.  Bob “Bugsy” Watson with the deuce.  Singles for Rob Halbhuber and Steve Lemieux.  Steve Orr, Billy Hagen and Eddie “The Eagle” Higgins with the Hawks markers.

WINGS    3    HAWKS   1

The Wings call up this goalie called “Sugar” John Marchin from their Florida affliate and possibly play their best game of the year, in defeating the reeling Hawks.  Leading by example – Captain Paulie “Jay” Giles with the deuce!  Sub Mike Harke scores again for the Wings.  Chuck Mouraine with the hat trick assist.  Hawks sub Boice with their lone goal as the Hawks are now winless in their past five contests.  A nameless Hawk said postgame, “We got too many centers on this team and not enough pucks!”

FLYERS   2     SHARKS   2

The up and coming Sharks are now undefeated in their past two doubleheaders.  Big Ben Haynes with both of their goals.  As in game one – Joe Plati and Ryan O’Rourke score for the Flyers.  Both puck stoppers – Mike Schlimgen and Bobby Rutkoske with numerous highlight reel saves.

BRUINS   3      HABS   2

The top spot Bruins are now undefeated in their past eight games.  Steve Lemieux, Curt Bailey and on a beautiful low far side one timer, Rick Batchelder score for the Bruins.  The Habs got a pretty rough draw today, playing the top two teams in the league.  They played well, losing both games by a single goal.  The Jim’s – George and Powell score for the Frenchmen.  Bruins goalie Rick “Ticker” Chauvin was outstanding in nets as he foiled two breakaways.  Dave Debrincat of the Habs picks up a solo roughing minor penalty.
