FINAL WEEK – PLAYOFFS

BRUINS   4    WINGS   1

Mr. Bo “Dangles” leads the Bruins with the deuce.  Dougie Roehl with the middle goal.  NFL HOF defensive lineman and media personality Artie Donovan lookalike(See Picture Below) Keith Lutz with an empty netter.  Goaler Mike Schmligen with an excellent game in nets, as he had the Wings shaking their heads numerous times – including good buddy Doug Beck.  Paul Giles backhands in a rebound for the Wings in this penalty free game.

SHARKS   3     HAWKS   2

The Sharks and goal-keep Brian Miller play a strong game and clinch to play next week!  “Black” Jack Priauix, Todd Schurman and Steve Dietrich tally for the Fish.  Goalie Miller pitches in with an assist.  Jeff Morton and sub Matt Lawson with the Hawks goals.  The Sharks lost Jim Chapie to a game ending injury.

FLYERS   4    HABS   1

Ryan O’Rourke, Pat “Crazy Legs” Berry and on a great tip in – Kenny Perko score as the Flyers dominate the French guys.  Bobby Rutkoske with a twelve save game.  “Gentleman” Don Courtley with the Habs lone marker.

SHARKS   2    WINGS   1

Playing with nine players due to the Chapie injury, the first place Sharks sweep on the day!  Subs Ken Debus and Cheap Trick guitarist Rick Neilson score for the Sharks.  The Sharks are undefeated in their past three doubleheaders.  Doug “Jeff” Beck strums in the lone Wings goal.  Captain Paul Giles of the Wings had a rough day today, as he was laying on the ice more than the zamboni!  In game one, he had a violent inadvertent collision with Steve Lemieux as they both crashed to the ice.  In this game, he got nailed by an absolute blast from teammate Bruce Buntin and bit the ice again!  Ouch!

HAWKS   4    HABS   4

The excitement was mounting for this game!  The battle of the basement!  We have the Hawks who are winless in the playoffs, versus the Habs, who have one win in the playoffs!  Couldn’t have written a better script!  Tie game and both teams ended up tied for last place!  John Dooley goes twine twice for the Habs.  Singles for defenseman partners Kenny Wilkins and Barry Piornack.  Hawks – Jeff Morton, Chuck Bowers, Mark Smyth and sub Paul Violassi.  A special shoutout to Hawks sub Brian Gross, who has returned to the ice after a very scary health scare!

FLYERS   3    BRUINS   2

Jimmy George set the tone this game, as he blocked two shots from two different Bruins defenseman and scored five hole breakaway goals!  Pat Berry was credited with the Flyers first goal.  The Flyers go 4-0 since the return of their charismatic Captain Ryan O’Rourke from a lengthy DL stint.  Jeff “Dick” Tracy(See Picture Below) tommy guns in both Bruins goals.
