SHARKS   5   HAWKS   1

The predatory Sharks start the game with two goals on the same shift in the games first two minutes and dominate from there!  General Robert E. Lee leads the charge with two breakaway goals.  Singles for Ben Haynes, Jim Chapie and sub Affholter.  Goalie Brian Miller with an excellent game between the pipes, along with picking up a tripping penalty.  Hawks sub “Steve” Kasper with their lone goal.

FLYERS   6     BRUINS   2

Kevin Maguire scores on an absolute blast from the left point a minute into the game!  See below.  Keri Topouzian, Sam Bonanno, and sub Bob Watson also score.  Defenseman Bruce Buntin picks off a pass and utilizing his vast offensive skills – takes it to the house!  Power right winger Jeff Morton also finds the back of the net, despite playing through a nagging upper body injury.  The Flyers respond to the excellent coaching tutelage of Ryan O’Rourke, who was looking very dapper behind the bench today in a Jimmy Buffett sort of way!  See below.  Keith Lutz and Joe Plati with the Bruins markers.

WINGS    5    HABS   0

It had to happen sometime and it did in a big way!  The Wings hand the Frenchmen their first loss of the season behind the two goal effort of the speedy Jimmy George!  Singles for Paul Vioalssi, and scoring his first goal of the year – Bo Altherr and longtime former Hab John “The Little Ball of Hate” Perini, who afterward said it felt a little weird scoring against the Habs.  The pumped up Rick “Ticker” Chauvin with the well deserved whitewash!  No Habs highlights.  Jimmy George and Mike Harke of the Habs get into a “How Do You Do” and hit the box with four minute roughing penalties.  Habs sub Randy Debuel with a solo roughing minor penalty.

HABS   5    SHARKS   4

The Habs right the ship this game, as Mr. Mike Ala scores four time on buddy Brian Miller!  “Gentleman” Don Courtley with the game winning goal!  Sharks sub Affholter goes twine twice.  Rob Lee and Dave Debrincat also with Shark goals.

HAWKS   1     FLYERS   1

The slimmed down Billy Hagen with the Hawks marker.  Keri Topouzian with the Flyers goal in this well played game.  Both goalies shined in nets!  Superman with a circus save on a Curt Lesnau breakaway backhand attempt.  Hawks goalie Bobby Rutkose responded with a minute left in the game, as the ever dangerous Sammy Bonanno weaved his way through the Hawks players for a breakaway, only to be foiled by Rutkoske to save the tie!

WINGS   5     BRUINS   3

The Wings snap a 3-3 tie with two goals in the games last three minutes to sweep on the day and send the Bruins in the other direction.  Still celebrating his milestone 60th birthday of last week – Paul Vioalssi with the deuce!  Brian Belloli, Jimmy George and sub “Rupert” Murdock with singles.  Eddie “The Eagle” Higgins scores twice for the men in yellow.  Winger John Dooley with their middle goal.  This was a penalty free game.
