Scotty Bowman once walked into a bar when his St Louis Blues were out past curfew. He didn’t say anything. He plunked a quarter in the jukebox and left. The song? Fats Domino’s ”Kansas City,” which just happened to be the locale of the Blues’ farm team.

BRUINS   4     HABS   4
Kenny “Prime Time” Wilkins scores with the goalie pulled for the Habs tie!  Mike Ala with a two goal game,  Kenny “Debus” Debus also with a goal.  Bruins Captain Steve “Mario” Lemieux with the trick!  Dougie Roehl also scores for the Bruins.  A light moment happened in this game when Habs goalie “Sugar” John Marchin was almost caught day dreaming on a length of the rink shot that just missed going in!  Maybe John was thinking about the beaches in Florida or when he is going to get his next haircut!
HAWKS   6     WINGS   4
The Hawks come from behind with three final period goals for the W!  Captain Billy Hagen with the hat trick!  Line-mate Bo Altheer with the deuce.  Rockford call up Scott Leslie also with a goal.  Jimmy George scores twice for the Wings.  Singles for Eddie Higgins and sub Mike Garlick.
SHARKS   7    FLYERS   1
The Sharks rattle off five final period goals behind the hat trick effort of Bruce “The Enabler” Gooel!  Doug “Jeff” Beck strums in two goals.  Singles for Gary Szlanski and Rob Lee.  Robert Stempian with the lone Flyer marker in this penalty free game.
SHARKS   6    BRUINS   1
The Sharks go on a feeding frenzy today as they convincingly sweep on the day!  Deuces wild for Gary Szylanski and Ben Haynes.  Singles for Bruce Gooel and Jeff Beck.  Goaler Brian Miller with two excellent games in nets today!  The Sharks come back nicely this week after dropping a deuce last week!  Veteran John Perini with the lone Bruins goal.  The Bruins are now winless in their past eight games.
HABS   4    HAWKS   2
Adam Godard, Kenny Wilkins, Mike Ala and Dave Herkowitz tally for the Bleu, Blanc et Rouge.  Goalie John Marchin shined in nets!  Hawks subs Scott Leslie and Larry “School Boy” Rowe dent the twine.  Hawks goalie Tommy Gazley basically played on one leg as one of his skate blades came loose.
FLYERS   5    WINGS   4
Captain Ryan O’Rourke snaps the 4-4 tie with eight seconds left in the game off a face-off for the stirring Flyers victory.  Robert Stempian with the deuce.  Jeff Morton and a on a dazzling move on the Wings right defenseman still looking for his jock strap and then going top shelf water bottle – Paulie “Knuckles” Polizzi with singles!  Wings – Eddie Higgins, Sammy Bonanno, Kenny Perko and sub Mike Garlick.  The Wings surrender another lead this game as has been a recurring theme this season and now have scored the most goals in the league, but also have allowed the most goals in the league!  Quite an anomaly.  This was a penalty free game.
Maurice “Rocket” Richard was the first NHL player to score 50 goals in 50 games.
Who was the second?
Mike Bossy – 1980-81
