HAWKS   5     WINGS   4

Hawks Captain Billy Hagen scores his second goal of the game with just seconds remaining on the arena clock for a stirring Hawks W!  Tough loss for the Wings.  Mark Smyth also with a two goal game for the Hawks.  Steve Orr with a single.  Bo Altherr, Ronnie Meltsner and subs Dougie Roehl and Rob “Nifty” Middleton score for the Wings.

BRUINS   5     HABS   3

There was a Hurricane watch this game, as Rob “Hurricane” Halbhuber records the natural hat trick in the final period to send the Bruins to the victory!  Two of his goals were of the power play variety.  Bob “Bugsy” Watson and Steve Lemieux also score for the Bruins.  The Habs move Al Pyc to center as the move pays off as he scores twice in the game.  Jimmy George with the Habs initial goal.

FLYERS   3      SHARKS   3

Da Sharks play a tough game and tie the Flyers!  Big Ben Haynes scores twice for the Fish.  Steve “Barney Miller” Dietrich also with a goal.  Mike Ala, Joe Plati and Ryan O’Rourke do the honors for the Flyers.  Both goalies – Bobby Rutkoske and Mike Schlimgen with strong games between the pipes.  Sharks sub Carpenter and Gentleman Don Courtley get into a “How Do You Do” and both pick up four minute roughing penalties.  Three minutes later Ben Haynes receives an unsportsmanlike minor penalty to put the Flyers on the power play.  Twenty seconds later Flyers Captain Ryan O’Rourke negates the power play with an undisciplined cross checking penalty, only to see the Sharks score three minutes later for the tie.

BRUINS   5     SHARKS   3

Steve “Mario” Lemieux with the hat trick for the Bruins!  Singles for defenseman Rick Batchelder and on a blast from the left point – sub Ken Debus.  Mike Lawson and on a beautiful solo rush Gary Szalanski score for the Sharks, who are now winless in their past seven games.  But – amazingly they are not in last place!

HABS    5     HAWKS   4

The Frenchmen play a great game and upend the Hawks!  Stevie Lambert with the Habs first two markers.  Singles for John Dooley, Dave Herkowitz and Jimmy George.  Hawks – Billy Hagen, Kenny Perko, Steve “Honey Badger” Orr and Brian Belloli.

FLYERS   4     WINGS   2

Shifty center Sal Bonanno scores twice for the victorious second place Flyers.  Ryan O’Rourke and Kevin Maguire with singles.  Bo Altherr and Chuck Mouraine with the Wings goals.
