WE HAVE ONE LESS FAN IN THE STANDS!

CONDOLENCES TO JACK PRIAUX, WHO LOST HIS SISTER PEGGY TWO WEEKS AGO!

SHE WAS ALWAYS WATCHING BROTHER JACK!

HABS   4    SHARKS   0

Power winger Kenny Perko scores a minute into the game and puck stopper “Sugar” John Marchin takes cares of the rest for Habs!  Chuck Mouraine scores once in each period.  Moncton call up Matt Lawson with a single.  No Sharks sightings this game.

WINGS   4     BRUINS   1

1-1 entering the final stanza.  Then the Wings rattle off three goals for the W!  Paul Vioalssi with the deuce.  Singles for Mark Smyth and Brian Belloli.  Sub Goalie “Ticker” with a light workload.  Dougie Roehl with the lone Bruins goal.

FLYERS   4    HAWKS   0

Flyers net-minder Superman has a magical game(See Below) with career shutout number 289 and the Flyers easily dispatch the Hawks.  Center Sammy Bonanno with an even strength and shorthanded goals.  Sub Robert Stempian and on a beautiful corner cross crease pass from Jeff Morton – Kevin Maguire also score.  No Hawks highlights.

WINGS   3    SHARKS   1

All the scoring was accomplished in the final period.  The speedy Jimmy George with the deuce.  The likewise speedy Paul Vioalssi with the insurance goal.  Sub goalie “Ticker’ Chauvin showed his cat like reflexes with an outstanding game between the pipes – robbing General Rob Lee with a side to side circus save!  Back with the Sharks where he belongs – Bruce Gooel with the lone Sharks goal.  Howard Smith of the Wings and cantankerous sub Ken Debus hit the box in tandem with roughing penalties(See Below).

HAWKS   2     BRUINS   2

The Hawks go up 2-0 with both goals in a 13 second span by Al Pyc and Billy Hagen.  It was all Bruins from there, as they completely dominated the play.  If not for the acrobatic efforts of Hawks goalie Bobby Rutkoske, this game would have ended much differently.  One of the best games I have seen a goalie play in a long time!  Rutkoske robbed Bruins right winger John Dooley by throwing his body from right to left and somehow stopping the puck to Dooley’s astonishment!  Keith Lutz and on a nifty backhand off the goal post – Joe Plati tally for the Bruins who remain winless on the year.

HABS   6    FLYERS   2

The first place and still undefeated Habs continue to fill the net as they defeat the Flyers.  As in game one, Chuck Mouraine with a two goal game.  Singles for the Kenny’s – Wilkins and Perko.  Mike Harke and sub Matt Lawson also with goals.  Donald Courtley with the hat trick assist.  Jeff Morton and subbing for the oft injured Ryan O’Rourke – Robert Stempian score for the Flyers.  Flyers defenseman Paulie Polizzi returned from his two game suspension.  This was a penalty free game.
