Both puck stoppers – Sir Kevin Beebe and the old master – sub Bruno Tadolini put on a goaltending clinic in this nail biter!  John “Hal” McRae and sub Chapie score for the Wings.  Steve Orr and Kenny “Primetime” Wilkins do the honors for the Frenchmen.  The Wings John McRae and the not too gentlemanly Don Courtley, both receive roughing minor penalties.

Congrats once again to the Flyers, as they continue their dominance with a first place finish this season after winning the Sam Cupp in the previous summer season!  On a roll!  The league’s leading scoring and goal producer Jimmy George with all three Flyers markers!  Sub Munsterman bangs in a rebound goal for the Bruins.  The league’s leading penalty minute leader Dave “Hammer” Arsenault picks up a hooking minor infraction against the Flyers Keith Foucher, who took high exception and reciprocates with a roughing minor penalty.

HAWKS   5     SHARKS   1

Mr. Marty Sell records his first career four goal game for the Hawks!  Providence call up Steve “Mario” Lemieux with the Hawks final marker.  Mark Smyth with the hat trick assist.  Hawks net-minder “Sugar” John Marchin with a very light one goal allowed performance.  Barry Piornack was the only Shark to solve Mr. Marchin.

Deuces wild for Jimmy George and Ben Haynes as the Flyers keep on rolling!  Singles for Brian Belloli and Keith Foucher.  Mark Smyth scores two goals for the Hawks.  Subs Steve Lemieux and Gary Szalanski with singles.

Ouch!  The Wings wreck Bruins net-minder Bobby Rutkoske aspirations of his potential goals against title, as they score at will!  Bob “Bugsy” Watson with the hat trick and three helpers for a huge six point game!  Ronnie Meltsner with a two goal game.  Singles for Brian Westenberg, and subs Dougie Roehl and Chapie.  Sub Lawson with a three helper game.  Cam “Steamboat” Lawrence(2) and Chris Zanke with the Bruins goals in this penalty free game.

HABS  2    SHARKS   1

The speedy and elusive Mile Ala scores 11 ticks into the game for the Frenchmen, against buddy Brian Miller!  Al Platt with the final period game winning goal.  Steve “Barney Miller” Dietrich with the Sharks marker as they end up in the first half cellar.  Both goalies – Sir Kevin Beebe and Brian Miller with exceptional games between the pipes!
