HAWKS   5    WINGS   5

Whoa!  this was a wild one, with 12 penalties called in all!  Fittingly, this game ended in a stalemate.  The Wings score all five of their goals in period one.  Deuces wild for Billy Hagen and sub “Freddy” Lynn.  Ronnie Meltsner with a single.  Mike Ala with a two goal game for the Hawks.  Singles for Steve Orr, Pat Collins and Jim “Jacques” Lemire.  Halfway through the final period, Hawks sub “Mickey” Brantley and Wings “Bull in the China Shop” Peter Gibb both incur roughing minor penalties.  That was Gibbs’s third penalty of the period and early exit from the contest.

HABS   5   BRUINS   2

Jeff “Dick” Tracy tommy guns in two goals for the victorious Habs.  Singles for Jon Perini, Kenny Wilkins and Jeff Ivory, who has a temp written next to his name on the scoresheet.  Whatever that means?  Rick Batchelder and sub Lawson tally for the men in yellow.

SHARKS   3    FLYERS   1

Goaler Mike Allemon was splendid in nets for the Fish!  Bruce “Cooler Man” Gooel was the only Flyer to solve Allemon and that was with under a minute left in the contest!  Mary Sell, Ben Haynes and Steve Dietrich were the Sharks marksman.

HAWKS   2    HABS   2

The Habs come back from a 2-0 first period deficit to tie the game up!  Cam “Steamboat” Lawrence and Jeff Ivory score for the Frenchmen.  The speedy and elusive Mike Ala with another two goal game for Hawks.  The Hawks are now winless in their past three games, but are still sitting in first place!  Habs sub “Wayne” Gross with a three penalty game and a head start to the cooler.

WINGS   2    FLYERS   1

These Wings are playing some inspired hockey lately, as they are now undefeated in their past two doubleheaders.  Billy Hagen and sub “Freddy” Lynn score for the Wings.  Sting rookie Robert E. Lee with the Flyers lone marker, as they drop a deuce today, only scoring once each game.  Wings puck stopper Mike Schlimgen and Flyers sub goalie Rick Chauvin were both excellent in nets!

BRUINS   4     SHARKS   3

Da Bruins score the only two goals in the final period for the W.  Sniper Chuck Mouraine with the hat trick!  Captain Adam Godard with a single.  Sharks – Ben Haynes(2) and Eddie “The Eagle” Higgins.  Bruins sub Lawson picked up a minor unsportsmanlike conduct penalty.
