BRUINS   3     FLYERS   3

The Flyers score – the Bruins score and that’s how the game went and ended in a tie.  Ronnie Meltsner, Doug Wargo and Rick Batchelder tally for the men in yellow.  The old master Bruno Tadolini was stellar in nets!  Sam Bonanno, Ryan O’Rourke and Steve Lemieux do likewise for the Flyers.  Referee Kenny Ballenger did a fine solo job policing this game!

SHARKS   3    HAWKS   2

Da Sharks do all their scoring in the first period and hold on for the W!  Sub goalie Rick ‘Ticker” Chauvin was outstanding in nets!  Steve Dietrich(2) and sub Beck score for the Fish.  Jeff “Dick” Tracy and power winger Kenny Perko with the Hawks markers.

HABS   3    WINGS   0

The Frenchmen play a great defensive style game and blank the Wings!  Sub Matt Lawson with a two goal game.  Speedy Mike Ala with their final goal.  No Wings highlights in this penalty free game.

FLYERS   4    HAWKS   1

Goalie Brian Miller and the Flyers play a strong game and send the Hawks to a double dip defeat.  Ryan O’Rourke, Sam Bonanno, Steve Lemieux and Paulie “Knuckles” Polizzi score for the Flyers.  Curt Lesnau with the hat trick assist.  Jimmy George scores for the Hawks on a great no look backhand pass from behind the net by Billy Hagen.

WINGS    8    BRUINS   2

Oh Boy!  The Wings right the ship this game and score all of their eight goals in the first period as they throttled it down in the final period.  David Herkowitz and Kenny Debus with the deuce.  Singles for Steve Orr(Also 3 Helpers), Chuck Mouraine, Al Sparks and sub “Boog” Powell.  Ronnie Meltsner and Rob Halbhuber score for the Bruins.

SHARKS    5    HABS   3

A special shoutout to Habs emergency sub goalie Joe Polizzi who was pulled off the “A” pickup skate in the first period to fill in for the Habs goalie who suddenly fell ill.   Eddie “The Eagle” Higgins scores twice for the Sharks.  Singles for Terry Masserant, Ben Haynes and sub “Jeff” Beck(Also 3 Assists) as the Sharks were the only team to sweep on the day!  Kenny Wilkins, Robert Stempien, and sub John Higgins score for the Habs in this penalty free game.
