What a game! Tied 3-3 at the end of regulation and a five minute sudden death overtime! Sam Cupp is looking down and definitely smiling! The Habs score twice in the five man shootout and the Flyers get blanked! Jimmy George and Kenny “Prime Time” Wilkins do the shootout honors for the victorious Frenchmen. This was a very tight checking game with not much room on the ice to maneuver. The opportunist John Dooley and the Jim’s – Powell and George score for the Habs in regulation. Mike Ala scores a shorthanded goal poking in a rebound, Sammy Bonanno and “Gentleman” Don Courtley with the game tying goal tally for the Flyers. Hat’s off to the Ricks – Chauvin and Batchelder who did a wonderful job cooking in the parking lot postgame! Thanks guys!
