HAWKS    6     SHARKS   1

The Hawks fire off four final period goals for the W!  Brian Belloli and sub Boice with two goals apiece.  Singles for Eddie “The Eagle” Higgins and sub Ken Debus.  Steve Dietrich with the lone Shark goal.  The Sharks Barry Piornack chops the Hawks Ken Debus and picks up a slashing minor penalty as both players also incur roughing minor penalties.  A few four letter expletives were exchanged.

FLYERS    3    BRUINS   2

Wow!  Definitely the game of the week!  The Flyers score three times in the games last three minutes for a stirring come from behind victory!  Bruce Buntin with the Flyers last two goals, his last goal was with 24 seconds left on the clock!  Captain Ryan O’Rourke started the Flyers rally, scoring their initial goal.  Bob “Bugsy” Watson with both Bruins goals.  It cannot be understated how both goalies -winning goalie Bobby Rutkoske and Rick “Ticker” Chauvin shined in nets!  Both goalies made several highlight reel plays!

HABS   5     WINGS   3

A nip and tuck game as the Habs prevail.  Jimmy George with the deuce.  David Herkowitz, Steve Lambert and Kenny Wilkins also score.  Ronnie Meltsner, Chuck Mouraine and Bob Lee tally for the Wings.  Habs sub enforcer Paulie “Knuckles” Polizzi picks up a solo roughing minor penalty.

HAWKS   2     FLYERS   1

The Hawks win their second consecutive DH in this well played hockey game!  Both goalie’s – winning goalie Brian Miller and the Flyers Bobby Rutkoske put on a goaltending clinic for the three fans in attendance!  Eddie Higgins and sub Boice score for the Hawks.  Left D Matt Linnell with the Flyers marker.  Let it be noted – that penalty minute leader Flyers defenseman Kevin Maguire did not enter the box once today!  Nice job Kevin!

WINGS    5    BRUINS   4

Pure and simple, the story of this game was the hat trick by left winger General Robert E. Lee, scoring his teams last three goals.  The General was fired up, as he leaves Wednesday morning for Tampa to catch the Lighting Stanley Cup Finals game against Montreal!  Paulie “Jay” Giles and left defenseman Bo Altherr with the Wings first two goals.  Robbie Porter with the hat trick assist.   Steve Lemieux and Curt “Ace” Bailey both with two goal games as the Bruins drop their first DH of the year!    A scary situation occurred late in the game as Wings goalie “Sugar” John Marchin got bulled over and laid on the ice for an extended period of time.  John recovered to secure the W!

Watch out for these Frenchmen in the playoffs!  This team is playing at a high level as they sweep on the day!  Al Pyc with a 2 & 2 game.  Singles for subs Paul Polizzi and Mike Harke.  Mike Lawson and Steve Dietrich tally for the Fish as they extend their winless streak to nine games.
