Al Pyc and subs “Freddy” Lynn and “Magnum” Higgins light the lamp for the Hawks.  Goals against leader Bobby Rutkoske was stellar between the pipes.  Sharks sub Lawson with their only goal.

FLYERS   3   BRUINS   1

0-0 entering the final stanza.  Bob “Bugsy” Watson with a regular strength and empty net goal’s for the Flyers.  Bruce “Cooler Man” Gooel with the Flyers intitial marker.  Sub puck stopper Paul Kaczmarek with an excellent game in nets.  Keith Lutz strummed in the only goal for the men in yellow.

HABS   3    WINGS   2

Habs storm back from a 2-0 deficit and score all of their three goals in the final period!  Jeff Ivory, Kenny “Prime Time” Wilkins and sub Paulie Polizzi tally for the Frenchmen.  The leagues leading scorer Billy Hagen with both Wings goals.

HAWKS   4     FLYERS   1

Kudos to the Hawks, who took the top spot in both the first and second half seasons and a huge four point head-start into the Sam Cupp playoffs!  The ageless Gary Enmark with the deuce.  Singles for Steve Orr and sub “Magnum” Higgins.  Brian Belloli was the only Flyer to solve Mr. Rutkoske in this penalty free game.

Leading goal scorer Billy Hagen with another deuce this game!  Singles for Ronnie Meltsner, John Schroder and super sub Gary Szylanski.  James George, Keith Lutz(They had to move him to forward?), Chuck Mouraine and Tom McHugh tally for the Bruins who drop a deuce today.  In the locker room following the game, counselor Tom McHugh of the Bruins gets on his soap box and tells his teammates:” The playoffs are a different season – we are going to take them!”

Habs sweep today – Sharks get harpooned twice today!  Sub speedster Steve “Mario” Lemieux with the tour du chapeau for the Frenchmen!  Singles for Jeff Ivory(Also 3 Helpers) and sub Paulie “Knuckles” Polizzi.  Eddie “The Eagle” Higgins with the trick for the Fish.  David Walters bangs in a goal crease rebound.
