WINGS    3   SHARKS   1

Marty Sell scores the Wings first two goals as they harpoon the Sharks.  Grand Rapids call up Jerry Krause with the Wings insurance marker.  Goaltender Mike Schlimgen was excellent in nets.  The vastly misunderstood Kevin Mahon with the lone Sharks tally.

BRUINS   4   HAWKS   3

Rick Batchelder finds the back of the net twice for the men in yellow.  Bobby Watson and Al Sparks with first period markers.  James George does the honors twice for the Hawks, the second goal on a shorthanded breakaway.  Sniper Ronnie Meltsner with the Hawks initial tally.

FLYERS    2    HABS   1

A clean fast up and down hockey game as speedy Mike Ala scores both Flyers goals.  Mike Lawson raps in a rebound goal for the Frenchmen.  Both goalers – Mike Mostyn and Sir Kevin Beebe put a show on for the one person in attendance in this penalty free game.

HABS   4    BRUINS   2

Habs and Bruins split for the day, as Kenny “Primetime” Wilkins scores the Habs first and final goal.  Greg Miller and John Perini with the middle markers.  Steve Orr with three helpers.  Goalie Sir Kevin Beebe with another solid if not spectacular game in nets.  Adam Godard with both Bruins goals.  No trips to the sin bin for either squad.

WINGS    5     HAWKS   2

We have the end of both spectrums with the conclusion of this contest.  The first place Wings remain undefeated this season, as the last place Hawks remain winless this season!  The Hawks even dipped into their top minor league affiliate team and called up goaltender Kirk “Captain America” Larson looking for some Superhero help.  Didn’t work.  Reverting back to the days of youth playing on the frozen Canadian ponds and using cow dung as hockey pucks – Rob “Hoser” Duncan with the hat trick!  Cam “Steamboat” Lawrence with the deuce.  Chuck Mouraine and Brian Belloli score for the Hawks.

FLYERS    5    SHARKS   0

Flyers sweep for the day as the Sharks lose their second consecutive doubleheader.  Goaler Mike Mostyn with the well earned whitewash for the Flyers.  Gary Enmark(2), John Zucchini and Bruce “Cooler Man” Gooel with the Flyers markers.  Pat Collins with the hat trick assist.  Their were no Shark sightings in this game!
