WEEK TWO – PLAYOFFS

SHARKS   7    WINGS   2

The high powered Sharks run roughshod over the Wings.   The line of Jeff Ivory(2 & 1), Jimmy Brown(2 & 2) and brother Mike(1 & 3) total 11 points in the game!  Singles for Billy Mac Jr. and Mike Ala.  Terry Boyette and Steve Bayagich with the Wings markers.

BRUINS   3   FLYERS   1

Bakers Bruins play an all around solid game as they defeat the Flyers.  The league welcomes back Bruins puck stopper Billy Schaugg from the D.L.  Billy showed no rust in this game as he made several outstanding saves!  Mike “King of the Road” Miller, “Angry” Joey Ventimiglio and John McNeilly tally for the Bruins.  Curt Lesnau with the lone Flyers goal.

HABS  2    HAWKS   1

The Frenchmen send the Hawks to their third consecutive playoff defeat behind the stellar goaltending of Brian Miller.  Habs sub and FSD’S Trevor Thompson with the deuce.  Dr. Nate with the Hawks goal.  Hawks defenseman Chris Gerbino(Elbowing & Hooking) picks up a double minor along with Habs forward Mike T. Brown incurring a roughing minor.

SHARKS   9    BRUINS   1

Ouch!  The Sharks total 16 goals on the night as they send a very rude “Welcome Back” message to Bruins goaltender Billy Schaugg.  No mercy here!  “Angry” Joey Ventimiglio scores 19 seconds into the game for the Bruins.  It was all down hill from there!  Once again, the Jeff Ivory(2 & 1), “Downtown” Jimmy Brown(2 & 3) and “Midtown” Mikey Brown(1 & 3) line dominate, as they total 12 points in this game!  It was a fun day today for that threesome!  Mike Ala(2), Mike Riddle and sub Pat “The Best” Wosek also score for the first place Sharks.

HAWKS   3    FLYERS   1

The Hawks win their first playoff game over the offensively starved Flyers, who once again lose 3-1.  Dr. Nate McCaughtry, Marty Papesh and JP tally for the Hawks.  Sub goaltender Superman was outstanding in nets!  Center Donnie Rivera with the low far side Flyers goal.

WINGS   4   HABS   3

Both teams split on the day.  Big Rob Rowling with the hat trick for the Wings.  Big Rob is simply a scoring machine, with a league leading 43 goals and 9 assists during the regular season!  Ryan Boyette also scored for the Wings.  Subs Trevor Thompson, Angelo Taormina and Scott Boyzk tally for the Habs.
